Hang Fai Kwok

Prof Kwok’s research interests mainly focus on the development of novel monoclonal antibodies and venom-based peptides as prototype drugs for anticancer and anti-inflammatory therapies. In addition, Prof. Kwok’s research group is also expanding scientific knowledge and research in the areas of existing and novel cancer biomarkers such as 1) matricellular protein — OPN, 2) metalloproteinase — ADAM17 & ADAMTS5, 3) DNA replication licensing factor — MCM proteins, 4) small GTP binding protein — RAN, as well as immunotherapy markers (e.g. PD-1/PD-L1) in order to identify and validate their prognostic and therapeutic values according to the roles in hallmarks of cancer.

Mariano A Coscarella

Dr. Mariano Coscarella is a Senior Researcher at the National Council of Research of Argentina and Professor of Conservation Ecology at the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco.

His skills and expertise include Conservation Biology, Fish Ecology, Marine Ecology, Conservation, Marine Mammals, Wildlife Conservation, Behavioral Ecology, Animal Behavior, Wildlife Ecology and Wildlife Biology.

Arti Ahluwalia

Associate Prof. of Bioengineering, University of Pisa, Head of In-Vitro Models Group and NanoBioscopy Lab at the National Council of Research Institute of Clinical Physiology (CNR-IFC). Also involved in capacity building in the field of Biomedical Engineering, in association with UNECA and FABLAB Pisa .Author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications and of several patents on microfabrication and on bioreactors, co-founder of 2 high-tech companies.

Anoop Rawat

Dr. Anooop Rawat is a Research Associate at the University of Southern California.

His primary research is focused on understanding biophysical and structural basis of misfolding and aggregation of huntingtin protein which is implicated in Huntington's disease.

Ibrahim Elsohaby

Dr. Ibrahim Elsohaby is Assistant Professor in the Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health and City University of Hong Kong. His current research investigates the One Health epidemiology of infectious and zoonotic diseases, including antimicrobial resistance. The aim of this research is to use epidemiologic and quantitative methods to develop realistic antimicrobial stewardship strategies based on a One Health approach and to reduce the risk of zoonotic diseases transmission to human contacts and general public.

Shravan Vasishth

Professor of Psycholinguistics at the Department of Linguistics, University of Potsdam, Germany. Specialization in computational models of sentence comprehension; sentence processing in aphasia; working memory and language comprehension; Bayesian statistics.

Nicola Reavley

Dr Nicola Reavley is a Principal Research Fellow in the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health at the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on improving public knowledge and beliefs about mental health problems, reducing stigma and discrimination and improving support for those with mental disorders.

A/Prof Reavley is a Chief Investigator on five NHMRC-funded projects, three of which aim to improve mental health literacy in members of the public. She also led a number of projects that aim to assist organisations to better manage mental health issues, including the development of guidelines for implementation of a strategy for the prevention of mental health problems and for supporting employees returning to work after an episode of anxiety or depression, which can be found at http://workplace-mentalhealth.net.au/ . She also led the conduct of the 2011 National Survey of Mental Health Literacy and Stigma and the 2014 National Survey of Discrimination and Positive Treatment in People with Mental Health Problems.

Feng Pan

Dr. Pan is a Senior Research Fellow at Menzies Institute for Medical Research. He has been researching both epidemiology and clinical interventions to osteoarthritis-related pain. Much of his work has been on identifying biomechanical risk factors for chronic pain and osteoarthritis, identifying pain and osteoarthritis phenotypes and testing new therapeutic treatments.

Kaspar Staub

I am an epidemiologist and historian interested in anthropometry, body height, obesity and neonatal health on the one hand, and historical epidemiology (past and present epidemics and pandemics, etc.) on the other. I am leading a research group at the University of Zurich at the Institute of Evolutionary Medicine.

Christine E. Clayton

Professor of Microbiology at the University of Heidelberg. Member of the editorial boards of several journals, past or present membership of scientific advisory committees for WHO and public-private partnerships in tropical diseases.

Ipsita Mohanty

Dr. Ipsita Mohanty is a Research Associate II at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Research Institute

Her current research focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms of nitric oxide signaling pathway at the proteome levels using multipronged approach of mouse genetics, ex vivo mechanistic functional study as well as high throughput mass spectroscopy techniques.

Dr. Mohanty has expertise in pharmacology, physiology, and proteomics with emphasis in intracellular signal transduction and GPCR signaling directed towards designing therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular disorders. Technical cognizance encompasses fields of Smooth Muscle pharmacology, Integrative Physiology, Contraction Physiology, Proteomics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatic Data Analysis (and related softwares) for Mass Spectrometry data and In-Vivo skills.
