Ming Hu

Dr. Hu is currently an Assistant Staff in the Department of Quantitative Health Sciences, Lerner Research Institute at Cleveland Clinic. He is also an Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) in the Department of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, an Associate Member of Molecular Oncology Program at Case Comprehensive Cancer Center, and a joint faculty member of Institute for Computational Biology at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Dr. Hu received his B.S. degree in Statistics from University of Science and Technology of China in 2006 and Ph.D. degree in Biostatistics from University of Michigan in 2010. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Jun S. Liu’s group in Department of Statistics at Harvard University from 2010 to 2013. He jointed the Department of Population Health, Division of Biostatistics at New York University School of Medicine in 2013. In 2016, he moved to his current position in Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Hu has more than 10 years of experience in statistical modeling and statistical computing with applications in statistical genetics and genomics. Recently, his research is focused on genome-wide mapping and analysis of chromosome spatial organization. Dr. Hu has published more than 60 peer-reviewed research papers covering statistics, bioinformatics, statistical genetics and computational biology.

Cho-ying Huang

Cho-ying Huang is a professor in the Department of Geography at National Taiwan University. His research interests include global ecology, terrestrial biogeochemistry and remote sensing of the environment.

Bo Huang

Dr. Bo Huang is a Professor with the Department of Geography and Resource Management, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he is also the Associate Director of Institute of Space and Earth Information Science and the Director of MSc Program in GeoInformation Science. Prior to this, he held faculty positions at University of Calgary (Geomatics Engineering), Canada and National University of Singapore (Civil Engineering). His research interests are broad, covering most aspects of Geographical Information Science (GIScience), specifically: satellite image fusion for environmental monitoring, spatial/spatio-temporal statistics for land cover/land use change modeling, spatial optimization for sustainable urban and land use planning, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and web/wireless GIS for location-based services. Dr. Huang has published extensively in the field of GIScience, including over 130 refereed international journal articles, and serves as Executive Editor of Annals of GIS (Taylor & Francis) and Asia-Pacific Regional Editor of International Journal of Geographical Information Science (Taylor & Francis). He also serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Comprehensive GIS, a three volume landmark GIS book to be published by Elsevier (Oxford). Currently he is exploring along the line of spatiotemporal data analytics, convinced that this new paradigm will revolutionize the way how geospatial data are integrated, analyzed and utilized in the future.

Lei Huang

Dr. Lei Huang is a cancer epidemiologist, translational oncologist, digestive surgeon, surgical oncologist, and gastroenterologist. He has published about 50 papers in SCI(E)-indexed journals including Gut, Annals of Surgery, BMC Medicine, JAMA Surgery, Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Immunology Research, International Journal of Cancer, EBioMedicine, and Gastric Cancer. His works have been cited for about 1000 times.

Dr. Huang has served on the editorial board of Frontiers in Oncology, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology, PeerJ, Medicine, and Translational Cancer Research, and Frontiers in Surgery. He has been peer reviewer for about 50 SCI(E)-indexed journals including Annals of Internal Medicine, Annals of Surgery, Clinical Cancer Research, Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network-JNCCN, Cancer Letters, Oncoimmunology, and Oncologist. He was selected as Best Reviewer for Annals of Internal Medicine twice in 2017 and 2019.

Dr. Huang has been invited to give oral presentations in the ASCO Annual Meeting and International Gastric Cancer Congress (IGCC), and has received Merit Awards in the ESMO Annual Meeting and Awards for Young Investigators in the IGCC.

His research interests majorly cover the epidemiological, clinical, and translational aspects of digestive cancers. He has successfully coordinated several large international investigations with participants from the US and about 20 European countries.

Zunnan Huang

Professor in Chemistry; Director, Key Laboratory of Big Data Mining and Precision Drug Design; Director, Key Laboratory of Computer-Aided Drug Design of Dongguan City; Vice Dean, Graduate School of Guangdong Medical University; PhD in Computational Chemistry and Physical Chemistry obtained from the University of Oklahoma; Guest Editor, Current Pharmaceutical Design, Current Medicinal Chemistry, Frontiers in Chemistry, Molecules; Reviewer for more than 50 SCI journals including Journal of the American Chemical Society, Science Advances, Nature Communications and Briefings in Bioinformatics. Authors of more than 117 SCI papers with an accumulated IF of 600.

Shanjin Huang

Shanjin Huang is a Professor of Plant Biology at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China. His lab is interested in studying the structure and functions of the cytoskeleton using model plants Arabidopsis and Rice as the experimental systems.

Gang Huang

I mainly investigate climate dynamics, especially, the mechanism of variability of atmosphere circulation and monsoon systems in East Asia. I have performed a large number of original studies on the observation and simulation of the impacts of Indian Ocean long-term variability on Asia Monsoons, as well as the dynamics of extreme climate, ENSO dynamics and associated decadal climate variability.

Xiaolei Huang

Professor of Entomology at the State Key Laboratory of Ecological Pest Control for Fujian and Taiwan Crops, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University. Main research interests of Xiaolei Huang's lab include insect diversity, systematics, biogeography, behavior, species interactions. His lab focuses on different taxonomic groups (e.g. insect-symbiont, insect-plant, insect-insect) to understand ecology and evolution of the diversity of species interactions. He also works actively on some general issues including data sharing and open science in ecology and evolution, and trends of biological taxonomy. During the recent years, the lab has been establishing specimen collection and DNA barcode library of subtropical aphids and scale insects in China, as well as research platform for studying species interactions and insect ecology and evolution across different disciplines from field ecology to genomics.

Simon J Hubbard

I am a Professor in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at the University of Manchester. My scientific career has taken me from a PhD in Biochemistry at UCL, London, via the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, back to Manchester in the UK where I undertook a Wellcome Trust fellowship, before gaining a Lectureship in 1998. My research covers themes in computational and systems biology and bioinformatics. We apply computational approaches to the study of biological systems and molecules, and my particular areas of interests are broadly in the areas of protein and genome bioinformatics including quantitative proteomics, regulation of gene expression (and particularly translation from mRNA to protein), and general bioinformatics.

Dezene PW Huber

In our lab we work on bark beetle functional genomics, understanding tree defenses against herbivores and pathogens, insect chemical ecology, and insect biodiversity.

We conduct our research across multiple scales and we use available tools – established and cutting-edge – to search for answers to complex entomological and ecological questions.

Miriam D. Hubinger

Professor of Food Engineering, School of Food Engineering, University of Campinas, São Paulo, Brazil. My main research areas are microencapsulation, membrane processes and edible coatings
