Dr. Raul Arenal received his Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from U. Paris-Sud (Orsay, France, 2005) and in 2013, he obtained his Habilitation (HDR). From 2005 to 2007, he joined the Electron Microscopy Center in Argonne National Lab. (ANL, USA) as post doctoral fellow. In 2007, he became research scientist (Chargé de Recherches) at the CNRS (France). From 2010 to 2011, he was visiting scientist (sabbatical position) at the Lab. de Microscopias Avanzadas (LMA) at the Inst. de Nanociencia de Aragon (INA) of the U. Zaragoza (Spain). Since 2012, Dr. Arenal is on leave from the CNRS, and he is currently ARAID research scientist at the LMA-INA-U. Zaragoza. Since 2018, he is the Director of the TEM area of the LMA-INA. In addition, since 2008 he is visiting researcher at the ANL (USA). In 2017, Dr. Arenal has been elected member of the Young Academy of Europe (YAE) and also at the board of the YAE. He is also member of the board of the Spanish Microscopy Soc. (SME; 2013-2021). Dr. Arenal’s (http://www.raularenal.com) broad area of research interest lies in electron microscopy focused on materials science and nanoscience. These studies are mainly focused on the growth mechanism, structural and physical properties of nanomaterials based on carbon, boron and nitrogen as well as other nano-structures (in particular, metallic nano-objects for photonic interest). Dr. Debabrata Goswami is the Prof. S. Sampath Endowed Chair Professor of Chemistry and Adjunct Professor of Center for Lasers and Photonics, Center for Cognitive Science and the Design Program of IIT Kanpur. He is the elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the Institute of Physics (UK), the Optical Society (OSA) and the SPIE. He is the winner of the 2018 Galileo Galilei Prize of the International Commission of Optics, the Thatachary Award, the Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellowship, and the Swarnajayanti Fellow. He is the Vice President of the IEEE Photonics Society India, Past Chairman, Photonics-2016. He has written over 200 papers and was in the Editorial Board of the Rev of Scientific Reports (AIP).
My research focus is in using quantitative methods to precisely understand how soils function and change- spatially, and through time.
I research methods for comprehensive digital soil mapping aiming to characterize soil both in the lateral and vertical dimensions.
I research methods for quantifying (and validating) measures of uncertainty for these comprehensive soil information systems.
I investigate innovative systems for soil measurement, which includes that associated with remote and proximal and soil sensing instrumentation. I have particular interest in infrared and x-ray spectroscopy.

E. Pinilla-Gil is an associate professor at the University of Extremadura in Badajoz, Spain (department of Analytical Chemistry). He received his B.Sc. in Chemistry (1987) at the University of Extremadura, and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (1991) at the same university. The main topic of his research work is the development of analytical methods for the determination of pollutants in environmental samples, with a special focus on miniaturization and portability of electroanalytical instruments for pollution monitoring. He is also interested in novel environmental sampling techniques, sample pretreatment techniques, and pollution impact assessment.

Dr. Rajesh Kumar Singh was born in 1980. He received his B. Pharmacy (2003) and M. Pharmacy (2005) from UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh. He completed his PhD in 2013 from IKG Punjab Technical University (IKGPTU), Jalandhar.
Dr. Singh’s major area of research interests are synthetic medicinal chemistry, polymer-drug conjugates for targeted delivery, Antimalarial and CNS active therapeutic agents and green chemistry approaches for chemical synthesis of pharmaceutical molecules.
Dr. Singh has over 14 years of teaching experience, guided 18 PG and 01 Ph.D. students and currently guiding 02 PhD students. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed scientific research papers in SCI indexed various Chemistry and Pharmacy Journals of impact factor 1.5 to 4.8 as the main or corresponding author.
Dr. Singh is Editorial Board Member of SCOPUS indexed 06 Int. Journals. He has received Publon Award 2016, 2017 and Publon “Excellent Peer Reviewer award” for outstanding reviewing more than 120 research papers of different International Journals of ACS, RSC, Springer, Elsevier, Dove, Informa and Bentham of Impact Factor varies from 1.0 to 8.5. He has also to his credit more than 50 National and International Conference Abstracts, 2 Books, 5 Best Paper Presentation Awards, 1 Travel grant to attend Int. Conf. and 5 Research Projects funded by various government funding agencies.
Pawel L. Urban received his MSc degree in biology from the University of Warsaw in 2002, and PhD degree in chemistry from the University of York in 2008. He conducted research stays in the University of Alcala, University of Warsaw, and ETH Zurich. The Urban’s laboratory was initially located in the National Chiao Tung University; then moved to the National Tsing Hua University. The team focuses on the development of enabling technologies for chemistry research and clinical analysis, their applications, as well as fundamental studies.
I graduated in Chemistry from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in 1996 (with honors), and from 1996 to 2001 worked on my PhD under the supervision of Prof. José Luis Mascareñas developing new synthetic DNA-binding peptides. In 2001 I received the Human Frontier Science Program long-term fellowship and joined the group of Prof. Barbara Imperiali at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where I worked for three years (2001-2004) on the development of caged compounds and fluorescent probes as tools to understand complex phosphorylation pathways involved in cell motility.
I returned to Santiago with a Ramón y Cajal contract in 2004, and was habilitated three years after in 2007. Since 2010 I am enjoying an Associate Professor position at the Organic Chemistry Department, and in 2011 I became a member of the Center for Research in Biological Chemistry and Molecular Materials (CiQUS).
Dr. Wallen earned a B.S. and Ph.D. from the Univ. of Illinois. He studied supercritical fluids at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory using a variety of spectroscopic techniques including NMR, XAFS, Raman and FTIR spectroscopy. The author of over 50 refereed papers his work has been highlighted in Science and C&E News. He has served as a reviewer for top journals and government science panels. Dr. Wallen is currently on the staff at Florida Polytechnic University. His research interests are on the development/implementation of green nanotechnology, chemistry and sustainable processes applied to materials synthesis, remediation, recycling and chemical analysis. Projects converting biomass to carbon quantum dots for sensing and electronics; nanophotocatalytic oxidation of wastewater; and use of carbohydrates (biogenics) for nanomaterials preparation are ongoing as are development of microvolume, high-pressure continuous flow systems (HP-CFS) to prepare and analyze functional, sustainable nanomaterials. He recently developed the concept of a circular economy paradigm for implementing university science laboratories which led to an Award for Innovation in 2016 by the Campus Safety, Health & Environmental Management Association (CSHEMA). At the 21st Annual Green Chemistry & Engineering Conference Dr. Wallen won the 2017 Applied Separations Prime Grant for commitment to teaching Supercritical Fluids. In his spare time he enjoys his family, playing music and outdoor activities.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Yaman received his Ph.D. in 1990 from the University of Inonu, Malatya-Turkey. Since 2002, he has been a Full Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the University of Firat. Since 2005, he is an Editor-in-Chief of, the "International Journal of Pure and Applied Chemistry” journal- Global Research Publications, New Delhi-India. He supervised and assisted more than thirty students 11 Ph.D.; 22 M.Sc.
Mehmet Yaman has a track record of 120 publications (corresponding author in most of them) in peer-reviewed scientific journals (including Curr. Med. Chem. and J. Med. Chem.) and more than 3,000 citations. He is an invited speaker for international lectures and has given more than 130 talks for national and international conferences. Dr. Yaman is on the Editorial Boards of more than 10 journals and serves as a referee for more than 12 peer reviewed journals in the fields of chemistry, medicine and environment. Prof. Yaman’s research focuses on the preconcentration and determination of toxic trace elements in biological, environmental and food matrices as well as determination of trace organic compounds such as histidine, flavonoids, anthocyanins, PAHs and acrylamide in plants and grilled foodstuffs by using HPLC-MS.
