Claire M Wells
Dr. Wells completed her PhD in 1998 from Kings College London and completed postdoctoral studies in the laboratory of Prof. Anne Ridley at University College London before returning to King's in 2003. Dr. Wells is now a Senior lecturer in the Division of Cancer Studies. She has published more than 20 papers in reputed journals serves as an editorial board member for a number of international journals and is currently associated with Cancer Research Technology’s PAK drug discovery programme.

Gonzalo Campillo-Alvarado
Gonzalo Campillo-Alvarado is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at Reed College in Portland, OR, USA. His research focuses on designing functional and dynamic (i.e., stimuli-responsive) crystalline materials, with an emphasis on boron, for applications of chemical separations, pharmaceutics, petrochemistry, and electronics. His lab integrates knowledge of organic-, supramolecular-, reversible- and mechanochemistry.
Before joining Reed, he was an Illinois Distinguished Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (USA). He received his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Iowa (USA) as a CONACyT fellow, and his BSc in Biopharmaceutical Chemistry from Universidad Veracruzana (Mexico).

I am a statistician who works with biological and genomic datasets to understand the mechanisms underlying human disease and identify possible treatments. My main focus is on autoimmune diseases.
Ylenia Carotenuto
Dr. Ylenia Carotenuto is a Researcher within the Department of Integrative Marine Ecology, Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn, Italy.
Her research interests focus on Plankton Chemical Ecology, Molecular Ecology and Next Generation Sequencing.
Michael T Ruggiero
Michael Ruggiero is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at the University of Vermont in the United States. He received undergraduate degrees in chemistry and mathematics from the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Geneseo, and his Master’s and Ph.D. from Syracuse University, both in New York State. His doctoral work, performed under the guidance of Professor Timothy Korter, focused on combining experimental terahertz time-domain spectroscopy with ab initio density functional theory simulations, where he pursued the electronic origins of intermolecular forces in molecular crystals. Following a successful defense, he took up an EPSRC-sponsored postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, working with Professor Axel Zeitler in the Terahertz Applications Group. At Cambridge, his focus shifted to disordered molecular solids, with the goal of understanding the molecular dynamics responsible for solid-state crystallization of amorphous drugs. After almost three years in Cambridge, Ruggiero went back to America to take up a position of Assistant Professor at the University of Vermont, where he is currently combining theoretical simulations with experimental spectroscopy. His work is highly interdisciplinary, sitting at the intersection of chemistry, physics, pharmacy, materials science, and computer science, and as such he is a heavy collaborator with groups from around the world.
Xiu-Jie Wang
Research Interests: To develop novel computational methods to analyze the fast increasing genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and other large-scale biological data, to identify new non-coding regulatory RNA genes in eucaryotic genomes, to decipher their transcription regulatory mechanisms and to construct non-coding RNA involved gene regulatory networks.
Jair C. Soares
Dr. Soares obtained his M.D. in 1990 from the University of Sao Paulo School of Medicine, Brazil. He completed his psychiatric training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in neuroimaging research at the department of Psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine. He has extensive clinical research experience on brain imaging, neurocognitive methods and clinical trials primarily in the field of mood disorders.
Sabine Bahn
Director of the Cambridge Centre for Neuropsychiatric Research at Cambridge University. Practising clinician (with an Honorary Consultant position in General Adult Psychiatry at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge). Co-founder of Psynova Neurotech Ltd. Professor for Tranlational Neuroscience at Erasmus University Medical Centre, Department of Neuroscience, Rotterdam.
Monika Stoll
Professor of Genetic Epidemiology at the Medical Faculty and Director of the Leibniz-Institute for Arteriosclerosis Research at the University of Muenster, Germany. Former Associate Editor of Physiological Genomics, Academic Editor of PLoS ONE. Main research interests: Genetics of complex disease traits, in particular cardiovascular and inflammatory diseases; comparative genomics, evolutionary medicine.
