A highly-cited pharmacologist, recipient of Scientist of Canadian Institutes of Health Research, Trinity College Dublin Fellow and Complutense University Madrid Honorary Doctorate awards.

Federica Ragazzola

Researcher at Stazione Zoologica Anton Dorhn (Ischia-Italy). My research focuses on understanding the effect of climate change on biomineralization processes and the modification in the ultra-structure of calcifying organisms, in particular in coralline algae.

Sven Rahmann

Prof. Sven Rahmann is professor of Algorithmic Bioinformatics at the Center for Bioinformatics, Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany. Previously, Sven was UA Ruhr Professor of Computational Biology and Genome Informatics at the Faculty of Medicine at Duisburg-Essen University (2011-2021), associate professor for Bioinformatics for High-Throughput Technologies at the Chair of Algorithm Engineering, Computer Science Department, TU Dortmund (2007-2011). Sven wrote his doctoral thesis on oligonucleotide design for microarrays in the Computational Molecular Biology group at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin.

Nagarajan Raju

Nagarajan Raju completed his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), India. Earlier, he worked as a project assistant at a bioinformatics center, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India, where he mainly focused on the computational analysis of protein structures and interactions. After his Ph.D., he joined Dr. Georgiev‘s laboratory as a post-doctoral research fellow in April 2016 and focused on computational immunology research. In March 2022, he joined the Bosinger lab as an Associate Bioinformatics Scientist where he will be focusing on the analysis of bulk and scRNAseq data to understand the immune responses due to infection and/or vaccination.

Arnold Rakaj

Dr. Arnold Rakaj works at the Laboratory of Experimental Ecology and Aquaculture at the University of Rome Tor Vergata where is carrying out basic and applied research on marine invertebrates and their role in the benthic dynamics.

Ayyalusamy Ramamoorthy

Priya Ramesh Prabhu

Priya Ramesh Prabhu is a Postdoctoral research fellow in the Human Biology Division at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center, Seattle, WA. She is an immunologist with focus on Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination. Her expertise is in evaluation of vaccine-induced immune responses. She completed her PhD from Rajiv Gandhi Center for Biotechnology, Kerala, India, working in a Phase IV clinical trial comparing the efficacy of 2 vs 3 doses of quadrivalent HPV vaccine among Indian girls.

Claudio C Ramirez

I work on insect ecology focusing in plant-insect interactions from a perspective that addresses proximal (ecological) and distal (evolutionary) causes. This approach aims to contribute to the knowledge of the herbivory patterns observed in natural and productive systems. Regarding proximal causes, I have a particular interest in the behavioral mechanisms that insect uses to feed on host plants, this includes how they deal with plant defense (either in crops or native plants). In relation to distal causes, I am interested in the correlation or experimental association between traits and reproductive outputs over generations. I have been studying hemipteran insects of the family Aphididae, which constitute important crop pests in Chile. Aphids are the group of insects that I have study the most. That are a good model to address fundamental questions in biology and also are a real problem for plant production. I do also enjoy to contribute with ideas aimed to reduce the use of pesticides in agroecosystems. The relationship between agrecosystem and natural areas are also an area that I intend to explore.

Rommel T J Ramos

The Rommel Ramos Professor of Bioinformatics of Federal University of Para (Brazil) affiliated member of Brazilian Science Academy and CNPq Researcher (level 1-D). Since 2008 works with genome assembly and RNA-Seq analysis, he is the leader of the bioinformatic development group of the Biologic Engineering Laboratory in Park of Science and Technology (Pará/Brazil).

Richard Ramsey

Associate Professor of Human Neuroscience, Macquarie University. Primary research interests are cognitive and social neuroscience, experimental psychology, and meta-science.

Tanu Rana

Dr. Tanu Rana has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from AIIMS, New Delhi and a Master’s degree in biotechnology. Her research pursuits have spanned multiple facets of life sciences, from research on host-pathogen interaction to directing and collaborative research through a microscopy core facility.

Over the course of her career, Dr. Rana has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and presented her findings at national and international conferences, contributing meaningful insights to the fields of infectious diseases, and novel diagnostic approaches.

Beyond lab research, Dr. Rana is committed to the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals and scientists. She has taught and continues to teach medical, dental, master’s and graduate students, offering lectures, active learning opportunities, hands-on laboratory instruction, and mentorship that bridges theoretical knowledge and practical skills.

Timothy O. Randhir

Dr. Timothy O. Randhir is a Full Professor at the Department of Environmental Conservation, University of Massachusetts, USA. Dr. Randhir received a Ph.D. from Purdue University in 1995 and did post-doctoral work at Purdue University before joining the University of Massachusetts as a faculty member. He has a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Sciences from Annamalai University and a Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. Dr. Randhir is a consultant to the National Academy of Science, Engineering, and Medicine, the American Association of Advancement of Sciences, the US Environmental Protection Agency, the National Science Foundation, and the US Department of Agriculture. In addition, he serves as Editor of three international journals in earth systems, climate change, watershed science, ecological economics, and computational environmental sciences. His publications include a book on Watershed Management, several book chapters, more than 110 refereed articles in top international journals, and several professional conference presentations. His research extends worldwide, including Honduras, Columbia, Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, Brazil, Ecuador, El Salvador, eSwatini, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mongolia, Kirghizstan, Uganda, Turkey, Iran, Russia, China, India, and Indonesia. He is the President of the Southern New England Chapter of the Soil and Water Conservation Society.
