Dr. Duc Nguyen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kentucky. His research interests lie at the interface of data science, mathematical biology, and scientific computing. He has developed several popular online servers for drug design communities such as FRI, RI-Score, DG-GL, and AGL-Score. By integrating mathematics and deep learning, Dr. Nguyen won the most number of contests in the past three D3R Grand Challenges, an annual worldwide competition series in computer-aided drug design. That success has stimulated his partnerships with Bristol-Myers Squibb for developing quantitative systems pharmacological models and with Pfizer for drug de novo hit identification.

Dr. Sivarama Krishnan Rajaraman is working as a research scientist at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Rajaraman received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, India. He is involved in projects that aim to apply computational sciences and engineering techniques toward advancing life science applications. These projects involve the use of medical images for aiding healthcare professionals in low-cost decision-making at the POC screening/diagnostics. He is a versatile researcher with expertise in machine learning, data science, biomedical image analysis, and computer vision. He has more than 15 years of experience in academia where he taught core and allied subjects in biomedical engineering. He has authored several national and international journal and conference publications in his area of expertise. Dr. Rajaraman is an Editorial Board member of the PLOS ONE, PeerJ Computer Science, MDPI Knowledge, and MDPI Electronics journals. He is reviewing manuscripts for more than 75 journals including those published by Nature, LANCET, IEEE, MDPI, Elsevier, and other conferences including CVPR, EMBS, CBMS, and MICCAI. A physicist; in 1996 Camillo Rosano started his studies in Macromolecular Crystallography at the Advanced Biotechnology Center, Genova (I). In 1997 he achieved the Advanced Certificate in Principles of Protein Structures (PPS), Birkbeck College, University of London, UK, and in 1998 he spent a period at the “York Structural Biology Laboratory” York University, York, UK for a Macromolecular crystallography traineeship. He participated to the NASA expeditions STS100/ISS6A and STS110/ISS7A by designing experiment of protein crystallization on-board the International Space Station (ISS). Director of different Courses and Workshops, he is the author/coauthor of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications.

Dr. Chan H. See received a first class B.Eng. Honours degree in Electronic, Telecommunication and Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Bradford, UK respectively. He is a Professor in School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment, Edinburgh Napier University, UK. Previously (2019-2022), he was the Head of Electrical Engineering and Mathematics within School of Engineering and the Built Environment, in the same University. Prior to this, he was a Senior Lecturer (Programme Leader) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, School of Engineering, University of Bolton, UK. Before this, he was a Senior Research Fellow in the Antennas and Applied Electromagnetics Research Group within the University of Bradford. His research interests cover wireless sensor network system design, wireless power transfer, Internet of Things (IoTs), sensor technologies, computational electromagnetism, antennas and Bioelectromagnetics. He has published over 300 peer-reviewed journal articles and conference papers in the areas of antennas, computational electromagnetics, microwave circuits, acoustic sensors and wireless sensor system designs. He is a co-author for one book and three book chapters. He was a recipient of two Young Scientist Awards from the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) and Asia-Pacific Radio Science Conference (AP-RASC) in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Dr. See is a Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellow of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (FIET) and senior member of IEEE (SMIEEE). He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, an EPSRC full college member, Associate Editor for IEEE Access, Scientific Reports, Frontiers in Antennas Propagations, Peerj Computer Science and Wireless Power Transfer journals.
Dr. Aslı Suner Karakülah currently works at Ege University, School of Medicine, Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics in Turkey as an associate professor. She obtained BSc (2005), MSc (2007) and PhD (2013) degrees from Dokuz Eylül University, Science Faculty, Statistics Department in Turkey. Between March 2011 and February 2012, she joined Professor Klaus-Peter Adlassnig’s research group as a visiting PhD student at Medical University of Vienna, Center for Medical Statistics, Informatics, and Intelligent Systems, Section for Medical Expert and Knowledge-Based Systems, Vienna, Austria. Her main research interests include: biostatistics, bioinformatics, medical informatics and applied statistics – particularly the analysis of problems in decision theory, multicriteria decision making, clinical decision support systems, and data mining.
Dr Lo’ai Tawalbeh (IEEE SM) completed his PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Oregon State University in 2004, and MSc in 2002 from the same university with GPA 4/4. Dr. Tawalbeh is currently an Associate professor at the department of Computing and Cyber Security at Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Before that he was a visiting researcher at University of California-Santa Barbra. Since 2005 he taught/developed more than 25 courses in different disciplines of computer engineering and science with focus on cyber security for the undergraduate/graduate programs at: NewYork Institute of Technology (NYIT), DePaul’s University, and Jordan University of Science and Technology. Dr. Tawalbeh won many research grants and awards with over than 2 Million USD. He has over 80 research publications in refereed international Journals and conferences.
Shuihua Wang received her B.S. Degree in information science and engineering from Southeast University in Nanjing, China, in 2008; the M. S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York, USA in 2012, and the Ph. D degree in Electrical Engineering from Nanjing University, Nanjing, China, in 2017. She visited Kyushu Institute of Technology in 2017. From 2013 to 2018 she joined Nanjing Normal University, and worked as an assistant professor. From 2018-2019, she served in Loughborough University. She is now working as a research associate at the University of Leicester. Her research interests focus on Machine learning, Deep learning, biomedical image processing. She has published over 30 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences in these research areas. She was serving as a professional reviewer for many well-reputed journals and conferences including IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems, Neuron Computing, Pattern recognition, scientific reports, and so on. She is currently serving as Guest Editor-in-Chief of Multimedia Systems and Applications, Associate editor of Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease and IEEE Access. She is a member of the IEEE.
Dr. Su Yan received his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign (UIUC), Urbana, IL, USA, in 2016. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor and Director of Graduate Studies in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, at Howard University, Washington, DC. He has authored or coauthored over 100 papers in refereed journals and conferences and one book chapter. His current research interests include nonlinear electromagnetic and multiphysics problems, electromagnetic scattering and radiation, numerical methods in computational electromagnetics, especially continuous and discontinuous Galerkin finite element methods, integral-equation-based methods, domain decomposition methods, fast algorithms, and preconditioning techniques. Dr. Yan is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a Life Member of the Applied Computational Electromagnetics Society (ACES). He was a recipient of the ACES Early Career Award “for contributions to linear and nonlinear electromagnetic and multiphysics modeling and simulation methods" by ACES in 2020, the P. D. Coleman Outstanding Research Award and the Yuen T. Lo Outstanding Research Award by UIUC, in 2015 and 2014, respectively. He was also a recipient of the Edward E. Altschuler AP-S Magazine Prize Paper Award by IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society in 2020.
