Gregory E. Gilbert
Currently Dr. Gilbert works for ICON plc, one of the leading CROs in the world, as a Senior Statistical Analyst. He has over 25 years of research and statistical programming experience. Before joining ICON, Greg supported 2 medical schools, a nursing school, & a vet school doing educational & clinical research. Greg is an accredited statistician by the American Statistical Association. In his position he leads development of statistical analysis plans, executes programming deliverables on multiple projects, and applies standard programming methods using SAS® for complex data reporting tasks. He communicates deliverable results with clients participating in the development of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts. In addition to working at ICON plc, Dr. Gilbert is a biostatistician at SigmaStats Consulting, LLC a firm specializing in assisting doctoral students in completing their research or projects. Greg has co-authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and 4 book chapters. He has experience with complex statistical methodologies including survival analysis (Kaplan Meier and proportional hazard), linear regression, mixed model regression, reproducible results, G theory, psychometrics, and R. Prior to receiving his EdD, Greg received a MSPH in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the Univ of South Carolina (1991) and a BA in Psychology from Baylor (1987). He currently resides in Charleston, SC USA with his wife of over 30 years and 2 basset hounds.
Frank JH Lu
Frank J.H. Lu PhD. is Professor of the Graduate Institute of Sport Coaching Science, Chinese Culture University. Professor Lu completed his doctoral degree in 1998 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). He is the former president of the Society for Sport and Exercise Psychology of Taiwan (SSEPT) from 2005 to 2007, and an active member in the international sport psychology bodies, such as Association of Applied Sport Psychology (AASP), International Society of Sport Psychology (ISSP), North American Society for the Psychology of Sport and Physical Activity (NASPSPA), European Federation of Sport Psychology (FEPSAC) and Asian South Pacific Association of Sport Psychology (ASPASP). Frank enjoys teaching and instructing graduate students in sport and exercise psychology. His major research interest in sport psychology is student athletes’ life stress, PST interventions, and psychological well-being. As to exercise psychology he focuses on physical self and quality of life.
Mason Posner
Professor and former Chairperson of Biology and Toxicology at Ashland University in Ohio. My research focuses on the evolution, physiology and biochemistry of alpha crystallins, a group of small heat shock proteins that protect cells against stress and are implicated in numerous diseases such as lens cataracts, Parkinsons, Alzheimers and cancer. My undergraduate research students and I use the zebrafish and other fish species as models to investigate alpha crystallin function. Our work involves qPCR to measure gene expression, CRISPR gene editing, proteomics, transcriptomics, promoter analysis and histology.
My background is in marine biology, systematics, ecology, molecular biology, protein biochemistry and comparative visual physiology. I train undergraduate research assistants in my laboratory and prepare students for graduate and professional schools and work in industry.
Faiza Farhan
Dr. Faiza Farhan earned a PhD in Clinical Science (specializing in stem cells) from Imperial College London in 2023.
Drawing on more than three years of editorial experience, Dr. Farhan seamlessly integrates her scientific knowledge with editorial prowess. Her extensive background in stem cell research fundamentally shapes her approach to scientific content editing. This powerful combination of rigorous academic training and practical editing expertise enables her to transform complex scientific concepts into clear, accessible information.
Nicholas D Pyenson
Dr. Nicholas D. Pyenson is a research geologist and curator of fossil marine mammals at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History. He received his Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the University of British Columbia. As a paleontologist, his scientific research focuses on the repeated and convergent evolution of marine life, including iconic lineages such as sea turtles, sea cows, and especially whales.
Jara Pérez-Jiménez
Researcher at the Institute of Food Science and Technology and Nutrition (ICTAN-CSIC), Madrid, Spain. Co-author of more than 70 papers published in JCR journals and book chapters in international editions. Member of the Editorial Board of Food Reserch International. Former member of the Committee of Experts in Human Nutrition, French Agency for Food Safety (ANSES).
Stephen Rajan Samuel
Dr. Stephen Samuel is a leader in the field of exercise oncology. He is a Fulbright alumni, the past vice chair (2016-2020) & past chair (2020-2023) of the fatigue study group of the multinational association of supportive care in cancer (MASCC) and the recipient of the Young Investigator of the year in cancer award by MASCC in 2015.He is the program director and Associate Professor of Exercise Science at the Mount Vernon Nazarene University, Ohio, USA. Over the last one decade Dr. Samuel has published his work in exercise oncology in some of the highly reputed journals in collaboration with researchers from various parts of the world.
Imran Khan
I received my MSc. Degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India in 2007 on understanding the role of TBP associated factor 9 (TAF9) in eukaryotic transcription. I completed my Ph.D. training in the laboratory of Prof. Paturu Kondaiah, in 2012, at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India, on exploring the mechanism of precancerous oral lesion (OSF and Oral cancer) using gene expression profiling. I also worked on exploring the molecular mechanism of photo dynamic therapy agents in cancer cells. I did my first post doctorate in Dr. Praveen Arany’s lab at NIDCR, NIH on exploring the role of laser mediated phototoxicity involving ER stress and laser mediated wound healing. I am currently doing my second postdoctoral training in the laboratory of Patricia Steeg at NCI in NIH, on exploring the molecular mechanism of metastasis suppressor gene, NM23 in breast cancer metastasis and its possible therapeutic applications.
Rodolfo Aramayo
My laboratory is centered on understanding the function(s) of RNAs, especially non-coding RNAs in all aspects of Biology. The long term objective of our work is to understand meiotic silencing in Neurospora and to map its connections with the meiotic silencing observed in other organisms.

Kenneth B. Storey
My research focus is biochemical adaptation and my lab studies the gene, protein and enzyme mechanisms used for animal survival in harsh environments including hibernation, freezing survival, estivation and anoxia tolerance. My lab has explored these topics in >800 research papers, reviews and book chapters. I am a graduate of the University of Calgary (BSc 1971) and University of British Columbia (PhD 1974), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and 2010 recipient of the RSC Flavelle medal.
