Prof. Sven Rahmann is professor of Algorithmic Bioinformatics at the Center for Bioinformatics, Saarland University, Saarbrücken, Germany. Previously, Sven was UA Ruhr Professor of Computational Biology and Genome Informatics at the Faculty of Medicine at Duisburg-Essen University (2011-2021), associate professor for Bioinformatics for High-Throughput Technologies at the Chair of Algorithm Engineering, Computer Science Department, TU Dortmund (2007-2011). Sven wrote his doctoral thesis on oligonucleotide design for microarrays in the Computational Molecular Biology group at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics in Berlin.

Dr. Sivarama Krishnan Rajaraman is working as a research scientist at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr. Rajaraman received his Ph.D. in Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, India. He is involved in projects that aim to apply computational sciences and engineering techniques toward advancing life science applications. These projects involve the use of medical images for aiding healthcare professionals in low-cost decision-making at the POC screening/diagnostics. He is a versatile researcher with expertise in machine learning, data science, biomedical image analysis, and computer vision. He has more than 15 years of experience in academia where he taught core and allied subjects in biomedical engineering. He has authored several national and international journal and conference publications in his area of expertise. Dr. Rajaraman is an Editorial Board member of the PLOS ONE, PeerJ Computer Science, MDPI Knowledge, and MDPI Electronics journals. He is reviewing manuscripts for more than 75 journals including those published by Nature, LANCET, IEEE, MDPI, Elsevier, and other conferences including CVPR, EMBS, CBMS, and MICCAI. Dr. Rajaraman is a Life Member of the Society of Photo-optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), a regular member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), IEEE Engineering in Medicine & Biology Society (EMBS), and the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES).

Torbjørn Rognes is the Head of the Biomedical Informatics Research Group at the Department of Informatics at the University of Oslo, and a research scientist at the Department of Microbiology at Oslo University Hospital, Norway. He obtained a MSc in computer science in 1994, a PhD in bioinformatics in 2001 and a professorship in 2010. His main interest is in development of algorithms and tools for sequence analysis, and has recently worked mostly with metagenomics and metabarcoding. He is a co-author of the VSEARCH, Swarm and SWIPE tools.

Kübra Seyhan received the B.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Karadeniz Technical University, in 2016, Trabzon, Turkey, M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2020, and Ph.D. degree in Computational Sciences from Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2024, in Samsun, Turkey.

She is currently employed as a research assistant at the Department of Computer Engineering, Ondokuz Mayis University, Samsun, Turkey since 2018. She worked as a short-term research assistant at the Chair of Security and Theoretical Computer Science, University of Tartu between March, 1, 2023 and August 31, 2023, in Tartu, Estonia.

Her research interests are in the areas of cryptography, post-quantum cryptography, algorithms, IoT security, and cyber security.

Syed Hassan Shah is a Wi-Fi connectivity subject matter expert with the Qualcomm Inc. product management team, where he is involved in Consumer and Compute Wireless products with a focus on Mi-Fi, CPE, and UWB technologies. In addition to that, Dr. Shah is also an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Fullerton Campus, where he teaches computer science courses to graduate classes. Over the past decade, Dr. Shah held multiple industrial & academic roles such as a Product Specialist for Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), CBRS, Private LTE, Digital Electricity, and open RAN product lines. Dr. Shah was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgia Southern University, USA followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA. Before moving to the United States, he completed his BS with honors in CS from Kohat University of Science & Technology (KUST), Pakistan, and his Ph.D. Degree (combined with Masters) from the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Kyungpook National University (KNU), Republic of Korea (South Korea). During the summer of 2015, he was invited as a distinguished visiting researcher at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, USA to investigate MAC layer findings in IEEE 1609.4 protocol stacks. Overall, Dr. Shah has authored/co-authored over 250 peer-reviewed international publications including Journal articles, Conference Proceedings, Book Chapters, and 05 books. In 2016, his work on robust content retrieval in future vehicular networks won the Qualcomm Innovation Award at KNU, South Korea. Dr. Shah's research interests include Wireless and Ad hoc Networks, Cyber-Physical Systems, Smart Cities, Connected Vehicles, and Future Internet architectures.

Furthermore, Dr. Shah is a Senior IEEE and ACM member, served as a TPC Member or Reviewer in over 100 International Conferences and Workshops including IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC, IEEE CCNC, IEEE ICNC, IEEE VTC, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM CoNEXT, ACM MobiHoc, ACM SAC, and many more. Furthermore, he has been reviewing papers for over 50 different International Journals including IEEE Magazines on Wireless Communications, Networks, Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Sensors Letters, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and Vehicular Technologies, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Big Data, and Mobile Computing. Moreover, Dr. Shah has been an editorial member of more than 60 Special Issues with top-ranked journals in Communication Society and served as an editorial board member of KSII Transactions on Internet & Information Systems, Wiley's Internet Technology Letters, Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies, IEEE Newsletters on Internet Initiative, Future Directions, and Software Defined Networks. Dr. Shah has been an appointee of the Board of Governors of the IEEE Vehicular Technology Society as liaison to IEEE Young Professionals society for the year 2018-2019. Since 2018, he is also an ACM Distinguished Speaker.

Currently, he is an associate professor in the Institute of Applied Informatics of John von Neumann Faculty of Informatics, Óbuda University, Budapest. He is the leader of the local CUDA Teaching Center.

His research areas are (data) parallel algorithms, GPU programming and medical image processing. He engages both in theoretical fundamentals and in algorithmic issues with respect to realization of practical requirements and given constraints.
He is the member of the John von Neumann Computer Society and IEEE, and also a reviewer of several conferences and journals.
