Jennifer T Chayes
Chayes is a leader in the field of network science, with applications in computer science, economics, biology and math. She is founder and Managing Director of Microsoft Research New England and NYC, and was previously Professor of Math at UCLA. She received an NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship, a Sloan Fellowship and the ABI Women of Vision Leadership Award. She was a member of the IAS Princeton, is a Fellow of the AAAS, ACM, AMS and is an elected member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.
Vincent A Cicirello
Dr. Vincent A. Cicirello is a Professor and Chair of Computer Science at Stockton University. He is also among the founding faculty of Stockton University's interdisciplinary Behavioral Neuroscience program. Dr. Cicirello earned his Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003, and his M.S./B.S. in Computer Science and B.S. in Mathematics from Drexel University in 1999. His research interests include artificial intelligence, evolutionary computation, algorithms, machine learning, and computational intelligence. Dr. Cicirello is an ACM Senior Member, IEEE Senior Member, AAAI Life Member, and a member of SIAM.
Edith Cohen
Edith Cohen is (visiting) full professor at Tel Aviv University. Until 2014 she was a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research (Silicon Valley) and between 1991 and 2012 she was at AT&T Labs. She received a Ph.D in Computer Science from Stanford University in 1991. Her research interests include algorithms, mining and analysis of massive data, optimization, and computer networking. She is a winner of the IEEE ComSoc 2007 Bennett prize, and an author of 20+ patents and 100+ publications.
Sara Comai
Prof. Sara Comai is an associate professor within the Department of Electronics and Information at the Politecnico di Milano. She received her Ph.D. in IT and automatic engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2000.
Prof. Comai's research interests include Human activity recognition, indoor monitoring solutions, Smart environments (home, healthcare, workplace), ICT solutions for health-related Quality of Life, and Ambient Assisted Living.
Fabio Cumbo
Fabio Cumbo is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Computational Life Sciences of the Cleveland Clinic's Lerner Research Institute in Cleveland, OH.
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Automation Engineering from the University of Roma Tre in 2019, and his BSc. and MSc. in Software Engineering from the same University in 2012 and 2014 respectively. Daniele D'Agostino
Daniele D'Agostino, Ph.D., is associate professor at the University of Genoa (DIBRIS), Italy. His research interests are in the field of high performance computing and e-Science. In particular he cooperates with scientists of the astrophisics, physics, bioinformatics and earth science domains. In 2014 he was a co-chair of the 22nd Euromicro International Conference on Parallel, Distributed and network based Processing. He co-authored more than 100 papers on international journals, books and conference proceedings. He acted also as co-guest editor of several special issues.
Marc-André Delsuc
Marc-André Delsuc activity is mostly oriented toward the use and improvement of spectroscopies, in particular NMR and more recently FT-MS. This includes new experiment design, development of data processing methods, development of software programs. I have been deeply involved in field as diverse as protein structural analysis, protein-ligand screening, complex mixture analysis, quantum mechanic details of the NMR phenomenon, automatic data analysis, fractal dimension of proteins and polymers, etc.
Antonio Jesus Diaz-Honrubia
Antonio J. Díaz-Honrubia is an Associate Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, to which he joined after holding an Assistant Professorship at Universidad de Oviedo and a part time Professorship at Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha (a job that he combined with a position in the R&D department of a private company in the telecommunications field).
He received his Ph.D. in 2016 from the Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha, where he had also received his B.Sc. (Spanish National Extraordinary Award) and M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering.
His research interests include video transcoding, perceptual video coding, multimedia standards, scalable video coding, and simultaneous video coding. More recently, he is moving forward to the topic of data analysis and validation.
He has been a visiting researcher at Ghent University (Belgium) for 4 months, the Florida Atlantic University (USA) for 3 months, and the Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) (Germany) for 6 months.
He has more than 30 publications in these areas in international refereed journals and conference proceedings.
Ahmed Elazab
Ahmed Elazab received his Ph.D. degree in pattern recognition and intelligent systems from Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, Jan 2017. He was a postdoctoral research fellow from Jan 2018 to April 2020 at the School of Biomedical Engineering, Shenzhen University, Shenzhen, China where he is currently a research associate since Jan 2021. Dr. Elazab has authored and co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and has been a reviewer in prestigious peer-reviewed international journals. His main research interests include machine and deep learning, medical image analysis, brain anatomy analysis, and computer-aided detection and diagnosis.
Massimiliano Fasi
Massimiliano Fasi is a Lecturer in Software Engineering at the School of Computer Science of the University of Leeds. He obtained a PhD from the University of Manchester in 2019, and has held positions in the UK (University of Manchester and Durham University) and in Sweden (Örebro University).
His research interests include scientific computing, computer arithmetic, and numerical analysis, with particular focus on numerical linear algebra.
Carlos Fernandez-Lozano
Dr. Carlos Fernandez-Lozano is an Associate Professor at the University of A Coruña (UDC). He is a biomedical data scientist with a deep interest in discovering the complex relationships between different biological levels. His research track is multidisciplinary as he is trained in computer science, machine learning, bioinformatics, and biostatistics. His research line is focused on how biological interactions are manifested at the disease level through the use, development, and application of kernel-based computational approaches that integrate different levels of biological data on the microorganism, gene, protein, and medical imaging axis.
Karl J. Friston
Karl Friston is Professor of Imaging Neuroscience/Wellcome Principal Research Fellow, Faculty of Brain Science, University College London. In 2000 he was President of the international Organization of Human Brain Mapping. In 2003 he was awarded the Minerva Golden Brain Award and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 2006. In 2008 he received a Medal, Collège de France and an Honorary Doctorate from the University of York in 2011. He became of Fellow of the Society of Biology in 2012.
