Sedat Akleylek received the B.Sc. degree in Mathematics majored in Computer Science from Ege University in 2004 in Izmir, Turkey, M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Cryptography from Middle East Technical University in 2008 and 2010, in Ankara, Turkey, respectively. He was a post-doctoral researcher at Cryptography and Computer Algebra Group, TU Darmstadt, Germany between 2014-2015. He was employed as a professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, Ondokuz Mayis University, Samsun, Türkiye. He has been a professor at the Department of Computer Engineering, Istinye University, Istanbul, Türkiye. Now, he is a member of Chair of Security and Theoretical Computer Science, University of Tartu, Tartu, Estonia. He is a member of the editorial board of IEEE Access, Turkish Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, Peerj Computer Science, and International Journal of Information Security Science. He is co-chair of IEEE Turkey Blockchain Group. His research interests include the areas of post-quantum cryptography, algorithms and complexity, architectures for computations in finite fields, blockchain, applied cryptography for cyber security, malware analysis, IoT and fog computing. He has published more than 100 research papers in international journals, conference proceedings, book chapters and has solved several real-world security and data analytics problems for the industry.
Burcu Bakir-Gungor received her B.Sc. degree in Biological Sciences and Bioengineering from Sabanci University; her M.Sc. degree in Bioinformatics from Georgia Institute of Technology; and her PhD degree from Georgia Institute of Technology/Sabanci University. She worked at the Bioinformatics Research Center, Medical College of Wisconsin, from 2007-2009. From 2009 to 2011, she worked at the Department of Computer Engineering, Bahcesehir University. Then, she worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Genetics and Bioinformatics, at the same university. From 2012 to 2013, she was part of the Advanced Genomics and Bioinformatics Research Center, UEKAE, BILGEM, TUBITAK. Now, she works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Engineering at Abdullah Gul University. In 2022, she received a prestigious award called the L‘ORÉAL – UNESCO National Fellowship for Women in Science Programme. She is the recipient of ‘‘Best Paper’’ awards at the UBMK 2020 and 4th EvoBIO Conferences. She acted as a member of the bioinformatics advisory board of the Turkish Genome Project. She is an editorial board member of PeerJ journal; the reviewer of several prestigious international journals including Bioinformatics, Machine Learning, Journal of Computational Biology; and she is the Technical Program Committee member of UBMK and HIBIT conferences. Her research interests include bioinformatics, computational genomics, metagenomics, multi-omics, network and pathway-oriented analyses, next-generation sequencing data analysis; and applications of machine learning, data mining and pattern recognition in bioinformatics.
Silvia Bartolucci is a lecturer working in the Department of Computer Science within the Financial Computing and Analytics Group. Prior to joining UCL, Silvia worked at Imperial College Business School as Research Associate in the Department of Finance within the Centre for Financial Technology. Silvia has a background in Theoretical Physics from Sapienza University in Rome and holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from King's College London.
Dr. Aswani Kumar Cherukuri is a Professor at Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), India. His research interests include information security and machine learning. Aswani Kumar earned the Young Scientist Fellowship from Tamilnadu State Council for Science and Technology and was awarded the Inspiring Teacher Award from The Indian Express (India’s leading English daily newspaper). He has worked on various research projects funded by the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Atomic Energy, and the Ministry of Human Resources Development. Aswani Kumar has published more than 150 refereed research articles in various national/international journals and conferences and is an editorial board member for several international journals. He is a Senior Member and distinguished speaker of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and Vice-Chair of the IEEE Taskforce on Educational Data Mining. Aswani Kumar earned a PhD in informational retrieval, data mining, and soft-computing techniques from VIT.
Prof. Lalit Garg is an Associate Professor in Computer Information Systems at the University of Malta, Malta, and an honorary lecturer at the University of Liverpool, UK. He has been a researcher at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and Ulster University, UK. Prof Garg has supervised 200+ Masters' dissertations, 2 DBA and 5 PhD theses and published 150+ high-impact publications in refereed journals/conferences/books, 17 edited books and 22 patents. He has delivered numerous keynote speeches, organised/chaired international conferences, and consulted countless public and private organisations for information systems implementation and management. His research interests are business intelligence, machine learning, data science, deep learning, cloud computing, mobile computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), information systems, management science and their applications, mainly in healthcare and medical domains. He participates in many EU and locally funded projects, including a one million euro Erasmus+ Capacity-Building project in Higher Education (CBHE), titled Training for Medical Education via Innovative eTechnology (MediTec) and Malta Council of Science and Technology's Space Research Funds. The University of Malta has awarded him the 2021-22 Research Excellence Award for exploring Novel Intelligent Computing Methods for healthcare requirements forecasting, allocation and management (NICE-Healthcare).
Prof. Natalia Kryvinska is a Full Professor and a Head of the Information Systems Department, at the Faculty of Management, Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Previously, she served as a University Lecturer and a Senior Researcher at the eBusiness Department, University of Vienna's School of Business Economics and Statistics.
She received her Ph.D. in Electrical & IT Engineering from the Vienna University of Technology in Austria, and a Docent title (Habilitation) in Management Information Systems, from the Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. She obtained her Professor title and was appointed for the professorship by the President of the Slovak Republic.
Her research interests include Complex Service Systems Engineering, Service Analytics, and Applied Mathematics.
Syed Hassan Shah is a Wi-Fi connectivity subject matter expert with the Qualcomm Inc. product management team, where he is involved in Consumer and Compute Wireless products with a focus on Mi-Fi, CPE, and UWB technologies. In addition to that, Dr. Shah is also an adjunct faculty member at California State University, Fullerton Campus, where he teaches computer science courses to graduate classes. Over the past decade, Dr. Shah held multiple industrial & academic roles such as a Product Specialist for Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS), CBRS, Private LTE, Digital Electricity, and open RAN product lines. Dr. Shah was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Georgia Southern University, USA followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the University of Central Florida, Orlando, USA. Before moving to the United States, he completed his BS with honors in CS from Kohat University of Science & Technology (KUST), Pakistan, and his Ph.D. Degree (combined with Masters) from the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Kyungpook National University (KNU), Republic of Korea (South Korea). During the summer of 2015, he was invited as a distinguished visiting researcher at Georgia Tech, Atlanta, USA to investigate MAC layer findings in IEEE 1609.4 protocol stacks. Overall, Dr. Shah has authored/co-authored over 250 peer-reviewed international publications including Journal articles, Conference Proceedings, Book Chapters, and 05 books. In 2016, his work on robust content retrieval in future vehicular networks won the Qualcomm Innovation Award at KNU, South Korea. Dr. Shah's research interests include Wireless and Ad hoc Networks, Cyber-Physical Systems, Smart Cities, Connected Vehicles, and Future Internet architectures.
Furthermore, Dr. Shah is a Senior IEEE and ACM member, served as a TPC Member or Reviewer in over 100 International Conferences and Workshops including IEEE Globecom, IEEE ICC, IEEE CCNC, IEEE ICNC, IEEE VTC, IEEE INFOCOM, ACM CoNEXT, ACM MobiHoc, ACM SAC, and many more. Furthermore, he has been reviewing papers for over 50 different International Journals including IEEE Magazines on Wireless Communications, Networks, Communications, IEEE Communications Letters, IEEE Sensors Letters, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, and Vehicular Technologies, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Big Data, and Mobile Computing. Qiang Wang received a Ph.D in Environmental Science from the Chinese Academy of Science in 2009, was an Associate Professor (2010) at the Qingdao Institute Of Bioenergy & Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy Of Sciences, and a Professor (2011-16) at Xinjiang Ecology And Geography Institute, Chinese Academy Of Sciences, and then moved to China University of Petroleum (2016-2022). His research focuses on energy-environment-health issues through multidisciplinary research methods

My primary expertise is in the field of dependable distributed system where I have published extensively on blockchain, Byzantine fault tolerance, intrusion tolerance, replication, and distributed consensus. My secondary expertise, which is also what I find extremely exciting currently, is in the field of smart and connected healthcare with particular interest in human motion recognition, human computer interface, computer vision, machine learning, and fuzzy Inference.
