From 1999 until January 2018, he was appointed as Researcher at the ISPESL/INAIL Research Center, and from February 2018 to January 2021, was appointed as Three-years Term Researcher contract (RTDB).
In February 2021, Prof. Avino was appointed Associate Professor in Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry within the Department of Agricultural, Environmental and Food Sciences, at the University of Molise, Campobasso.
His current research follows studies devoted to the development of innovative analytical methodologies for development and application of analytical and sampling methods for the qualitative and quantitative determination of chemical compounds (e.g., contaminants, pollutants, nutrients) in food, agricultural, biological and anthropogenic matrices.
In 1988, he was the recipient of the “Group Achievement NASA Award”, and the “Next Generation Award” during the 22nd International Symposium on Chromatography. In 2003 he was the recipient of the “Environmental Sapio” Award for his research in the environmental field. In 2022 he received the Medal for Ecology from the Moldavian Chemical Society.
I received my BS in chemistry from Stanford University and my PhD in chemistry from Harvard University, with George Whitesides. My research is focused on the development of low-cost point-of-care diagnostic devices, which involves analytical chemistry, paper-based microfluidics, fabrication, materials science and engineering.
Dr. Lubna Rasheed studied Chemistry and earned a Ph.D degree in 2011 jointly from Rennes1 University, France and Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. She has two years of Post. Doctorate experience at the CSM Laboratory at Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) South Korea. She served as Assistant Professor at Department of Chemistry, University of Education, Lahore (2017-September 2023). Presently working as Associate Professor at Department of Chemistry, Rawalpindi Women University, Pakistan .
She has been invited speaker at many national and international Conferences. She is working as Editorial board member of prestigious international journals. Her publications has been included in Nature Index for the year 2019 and ranked among the World’s top publications for the year 2019. Her research interests include the development of Fluorescent Probes as Sensors for Biomolecular and Ionic Detection, Medicinal Chemistry, Nano Composites for HER, OER, Semi conduction, Environmental, Water Treatment and Energy-Related Applications.
Takashi Funatsu received his BS, MS and PhD degrees from Waseda University in 1982, 1984 and 1988, respectively. He was an associate professor at Waseda University in 1997. Since 2004, he has been a professor of Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, The University of Tokyo. His research interests are (1) Elucidating the molecular mechanism of bio-molecular machine, such as a molecular chaperonin, (2) Single molecule imaging of processing and transport of mRNA in a living cell, and (3) Development of micro/nano devices to analyze bio-molecular interactions.
Julia Martín obtained her Ph.D. in Chemistry in 2012 at University of Seville (Spain). She is Assistant Professor in the Department of Analytical Chemistry (University of Seville) since 2013. Her principal research interests fall into the three interrelated areas of environmental, analytical and water sciences. She is particularly interested in the development of new methodologies for the determination of majority and emerging pollutants in environmental and biological matrices. These methodologies are then applied to evaluate the occurrence and fate of pollutants to obtain information about their potential toxicological effects to the ecosystems. Her interest is also focused on the history of chemistry and on the methodological aspects of analytical science. She is a co-author of more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals, 20 book chapters, H-index 18 and 875 citation.
My work focuses on analytical chemistry with the development of methods for the analysis of organic micropollutants. I am also interested in passive sampling techniques to characterise the exposure of aquatic organisms (microalgae, biofilms).
In addition, I am carrying out analytical developments in the field of lipidomics to propose biomarkers of toxic effects in aquatic plants and marine or freshwater fish.
Marc-André Delsuc activity is mostly oriented toward the use and improvement of spectroscopies, in particular NMR and more recently FT-MS. This includes new experiment design, development of data processing methods, development of software programs. I have been deeply involved in field as diverse as protein structural analysis, protein-ligand screening, complex mixture analysis, quantum mechanic details of the NMR phenomenon, automatic data analysis, fractal dimension of proteins and polymers, etc.
