I am a biostatistician in the Biostatistics Centre at the University of Otago, a role I have held since 2004. Most of my work involves collaborating on a wide range of research projects in the health sciences, particularly in paediatric obesity, sleep, and physical activity; respiratory epidemiology, mostly asthma and COPD; dentistry; and health systems. I also work on statistical methods research, mostly topics inspired by these collaborations.
Prior to my current position I was a software metrics and machine learning researcher in the Department of Information Science at the same institution.
Dr. Piril Hepsomali is a Lecturer within the School of Psychology and Clinical Language Sciences at the University of Reading, UK.
Her research interests include understanding affective and cognitive impairments (as well as their neural and biological manifestations) associated with poor mental health and lifestyle factors, and improving these impairments by using non-pharmacological (mainly dietary) approaches across different age groups.
Dr. Marcello Iriti is an Associate Professor of Plant Biology and Pathology within the Department of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of Milan.
He has been studying nutraceuticals, functional foods, phytotherapeutics and essential oils relevant for human and animal health, focusing on their preclinical (in vitro/in vivo) and in human pharmacological activities. He has also been investigating the health-promoting effects of traditional Mediterranean diet as well as the ethnopharmacology of herbal remedies of traditional healing systems.

Associate Professor at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam and Visiting Professor at Université Paris Diderot-Paris 7. Our group is working on unravelling the mechanistic link between diet composition and the development of obesity and diabetes as a first step towards better understanding the pathogenesis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, focussing on the role of the brain.

Dr Julien Louis is Reader in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology at Liverpool John Moores University (UK). Julien is also Associate Researcher at the French Institute of Sport, Expertise and Performance (INSEP, Paris), and member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Sport Science, Journal of Sport Sciences, Frontiers in Sports and Active Living, PlosOne, and Nutrients. Julien's research focuses on training, nutrition and recovery strategies for optimising sport performance, with an emphasis on elite sport. Julien is also interested in the effects of ageing on sport performance with masters athletes at the centre of his research. In parallel to his academic roles, Julien regularly works as Consultant Nutritionist in Elite sport. He is the current performance Nutritionist of AG2R-Citroen professional cycling team, and previous appointments include Liverpool Football Club, Lille Football Club, the French Football Federation, and many Olympic sports.
Dr. Mangine recieved his doctorate from the University of Central Florida under the guidance of Dr. Jay Hoffman and Dr. Jeffrey Stout. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management at Kennesaw State University. His primary research focus is on resistance training adaptations and predicting sports performance.
