Mr. Faizan Zaffar Kashoo is affiliated with the University of Majma'ah's Department of Applied Medical Sciences. He is currently serving in the role of lecturer. Clinical and scientific research interests of Dr. Faizan Zaffar Kashoo include stroke rehabilitation, Bell's palsy, neurorehabilitation, telerehabilitation, and transcranial brain stimulation.

Dr. Mohammed Kuddus is working as a Professor and Chairman of Biochemistry Department at University of Hail, Saudi Arabia. His main research area includes Molecular biology, Industrial enzymes, Extremophiles and Extremozymes, Microbial biotechnology, Food biotechnology, Waste utilization, Value added products, Bioremediation, Biopolymers and Bioplastics. He has published more than 75 research articles in reputed international journals along with 8 books and 22 book chapters; and presented more than 40 abstracts in national/international conferences/symposia. He has been serving as an Editor / Editorial Board Member and Reviewer of various international reputed journals. He has been awarded Young Scientist Projects from the Department of Science and Technology, India and International Foundation for Science, Sweden.
Susanne E la Fleur
Associate Professor at the Academic Medical Center, University of Amsterdam and Visiting Professor at Université Paris Diderot-Paris 7. Our group is working on unravelling the mechanistic link between diet composition and the development of obesity and diabetes as a first step towards better understanding the pathogenesis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, focussing on the role of the brain.
Sapna Langyan
Sapna Langyan is a scientist at ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources, New Delhi, India. She holds an experience of more than 11 years in agricultural research. She aims to contribute towards food and nutritional security of the world and alleviating malnutrition through research support. She has more than 30 research papers, book chapters, conference proceedings and many others in reputed national and international journals and also holds editorship of many reputed journals including Frontiers. She has also edited one book on ‘Maize: Nutrition dynamics and novel uses’, published by Springer https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9788132216223. She has been awarded many prestigious awards, fellowship and grants throughout her research career by premier science academies and by the Govt. of India.
Gerald T Mangine
Dr. Mangine recieved his doctorate from the University of Central Florida under the guidance of Dr. Jay Hoffman and Dr. Jeffrey Stout. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Exercise Science and Sport Management at Kennesaw State University. His primary research focus is on resistance training adaptations and predicting sports performance.

He was Professor and Chairperson, Departments of Molecular Cell Physiology and Bio-Ionomics, Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine, Japan, and Director and Professor, Japan Institute for Food Education and Health, St. Agnes’ University. He was awarded “Vebleo Nanomedicine Scientist Award” (Sweden), “Marco Polo della Scienza Italiana” (Italy), The Premier's Research Excellence Award (Canada), Scholar Award (Medical Research Council of Canada) and Research Award from National Kidney Foundation of USA. David Meyre
David Meyre completed a PhD in quantitative plant genetics in France. Since 2001, he has been working on the elucidation of the genetic bases of obesity and type 2 diabetes. In 2004, he published the first family-based genome-wide scans for childhood and severe adult obesity. He completed the two first successful positional cloning efforts for childhood and severe adult obesity, which identified the positional candidate genes ENPP1 and PCSK1. In 2007, he contributed to the identification of the major susceptibility gene for polygenic obesity FTO. In 2009, he published the first genome-wide association study of extreme obesity in the French population and identified four novel susceptibility-loci. In 2010, he conducted the first genome-wide association meta-analysis for early-onset extreme obesity in German and French populations. In 2012, he identified the third more common form of monogenic obesity (PCSK1 partial deficiency) and demonstrated an important role of the lipid sensor GPR120 in human obesity. He also discovered the first molecular link between obesity and major depression. In 2013, he discovered a novel gene (SIM1) responsible for a syndromic Mendelian form of childhood obesity. In 2016, he discovered that physical activity can blunt the effect of the obesity predisposing gene FTO in diverse ethnic groups. He also demonstrated that genes can predict the outcomes of different types of bariatric surgery.

Jose M. Moran, Ph. D., is currently Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department in the University of Extremadura, Spain. He completed his Ph. D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Actually he is a member of the Metabolic Bone Diseases Research Group in the University of Extremadura. He is a reviewer and Academic Editor of several international journals. Actually he combines both the research in the field of Metabolic Bone Diseases and the research in Research Designs and Statistical Methods used in the research in Health Sciences.

Charles Odilichukwu R. Okpala is a Certified Food Scientist (CFS) - International Food Science Certification Commission (IFSCC-USA), Chartered Scientist (CSci) of the Science Council-UK, Fellow - Linnaean Society of London (FLS), Fellow - Institute of Food Science and Technology (FIFST-UK), Member - International Association of Food Protection (MIAFP-USA), Member - Institution of Agricultural Engineers (MIAgrE-UK), Professional Engineer (PEng-UK), Member - The Federalist Society (USA), among others. Charles' first college education was in Statistics and Computer Applications (CertDiplom, 2002) at the University of Nigeria Nsukka - Nigeria, followed by Agriculture (B.Sc. Hons, 2008) at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. Subsequently, he underwent specialist food science research training (Master of Research [MRES], 2010) at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow-UK, and during that period, undertook chemical engineering training under the European Federation of Chemical Engineers at Koc Universitesi-Istanbul, Turkey(Intensive Lifelong Learning Diploma - Chemical Engineering with distinction, 2009). He recently accomplished an advanced specialist food nutrition technology research training at Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences(UPWr), Wrocław-Poland (Dyplom Doktorski, Ph.D., 2023). He holds an excess of 75 other credentials, for example, Diplomas in Legal Studies, Social Work Studies, Psychology, Workplace Safety & Health, as well as certifications like FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food(USA); HACCP Meat & Poultry(USA); HACCP Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Packinghouse(USA); ServSafe® Instructor/Registered Examination Proctor(National Restaurant Association-USA); ServSafe® Food Protection Manager(National Restaurant Association-USA); Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) Train-the-Trainer (Association of Food and Drug Officials, USA); etc. Currently, he is a County Extension Agent at Assistant Professor cadre (Family & Consumer Science) - University of Georgia Cooperative Extension (Richmond County Office), College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, University of Georgia- Athens, USA, and before, Research Scholar - Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences, Wrocław-Poland. Previously held at other notable institutions include Research Fellow at IRBIM CNR (previously known as IAMC CNR) Mazara del Vallo, Trapani-Italy (2015-2016), and Research Scholar (School of Science, 2011-2013)/Research Associate (Global Public Health Unit, 2012-2013) at Monash University Sunway Campus, Malaysia. Abhijit P Pakhare
Associate Professor of Community & Family Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhopal. Involved in public health and health system research. Completed an extramural project funded by Indian Council of Medical Research on nutritional status of tribal adolescents. Currently working on community based interventions for cardiovascular diseases (CVD) risk factor reduction strategies.
