Brian Kraatz
Brian received a B.A. in Geology from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1996. He completed an M.S. in Geology & Geophysics from the University of Wyoming in 2001, and a Ph.D in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2007. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Paleontology at the American Museum of Natural History, where he remains affiliated as a Research Associate. Since 2009 he has been an Assistant then Associate Professor of Anatomy at Western University of Health Sciences.

Donald L Kramer
Dr. Kramer is Professor Emeritus of Biology, McGill University, Montreal, Canada, now living in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. in Zoology at the University of British Columbia in 1971. Following postdoctoral research at the University of Ghana and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute, he was hired by McGill University where he remained until his retirement. He was a founding co-editor of Behavioral Ecology. Research Interests: Habitat selection and spatial distribution, antipredator behavior, foraging, breathing strategies in hypoxic environments, with forays into a variety of other topics. Principal study organisms: fishes (especially in coral reef and tropical freshwater habitats) and sciurid rodents (deciduous temperate forests).
Robin SS Kramer
I am currently a senior lecturer at the University of Lincoln, UK. My work focusses on face recognition, specifically how we become familiar with faces despite (or because of) within-person variability in facial appearance.
Ingrid Kreissig
University Professor, MD; Professor h.c. of Ufa Eye Research Institute; Adjunct Professor of Clinical Ophthalmology, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Cornell University, USA; Professor of Ophthalmology, Dept. of Ophthalmology Univ. of Mannheim, Heidelberg, Germany. Former Chairman of Department of Ophthalmology University of Tuebingen, Germany. Author of 3 books on Retinal Detachment Surgery.
Dora B. Krimer
Staff Scientist at the Spanish National Research Council, CSIC. Our research group at the Centro de Investigaciones Biologicas (CIB) focuses on DNA topology and chromatin organization. I have also a strong interest in gene regulation during erythroleukemia cell differentiation.
Prasanna Krishnamurthy
Dr. Prasanna earned his BVSc (DVM) degree with honors from Bangalore Veterinary College and completed his Masters and PhD in Veterinary Pathology from Indian Veterinary Research Institute (India's premier institute for Veterinary Research). He completed his postdoctoral training at Northwestern University (in Dr. Raj Kishore's laboratory) and East Tennessee State University. Before joining University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), he held faculty appointments at the Feinberg Cardiovascular Research Institute, Northwestern University School of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois and Houston Methodist Research Institute, Texas.
As a member of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, he directs a research program focusing on understanding mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases and developing novel therapeutic strategies to promote cardiac regeneration and repair. Dr. Krishnamurthy’s laboratory is supported through funds from National Institutes of Health (NIH-R01) and American Heart Association (GIA and Postdoctoral fellowships).
Kerstin Kröger
Dr. Kerstin Kröger is MPA Management Adviser at the Join Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC) in Aberdeen, UK. She obtained her M.Sc from CAU University Kiel and PhD from VIC Wellington, NZ in 2004.
Dr. Kröger is a deep-sea ecologist with a special interest in benthic biodiversity and communities, the effects of natural and anthropogenic disturbances and pressures on such communities and their recovery trajectories. Furthermore, she is interested in management of the marine environment, in particular of offshore MPAs in national waters and the High Seas. In addition to this Dr. Kröger is involved in developing management measures for deep-sea mining.
Robert Kromer
I am an ophthalmologist specializing in cataract, refractive and retinal surgery. Working as the Deputy Medical Director @nordBLICK (Germany) with the Medical Director Dr. Markus Pölzl, we aim to provide access to the best treatment and eye care.
Medical studies @ Uni Heidelberg, Leipzig & London. Clinical training at the university clinics in Hamburg, Hannover, Singapore & Moorfields (London).
Strong experience in clinical research (>30 publications), lecturer & Ass. Prof. @ Uni Lübeck.
Business training at Frankfurt School (MBA in International Healthcare Management) and practical experience by founding two publicly funded companies exploring innovative medical developments.
Ziad Kronfol
Ziad Kronfol, M.D. is Professor of Psychiatry and Psychiatry Clerkship Director at Weill Cornell Medicine – Qatar. He previously was Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Psychoneuroimmunology Program at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Dr. Kronfol is past Vice-President of the Asian Federation of Psychiatric Associations, Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and member of the section on education in the World Psychiatric Association.
Valsaraj KT
Former Vice President for Research & Economic Development, currently the Charles and Hilda Roddey Distinguished Professor in Chemical Engineering and Ike East Professor in Chemical Engineering, Louisiana State University. Elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Recipient of AIChE/ACS Charles E Coates award in 2012. Research area is in environmental chemical engineering. He has broad research experience in wastewater treatment, atmospheric chemistry and, modeling the fate and transport of contaminants in all three environmental media (air, water and soil/sediment). Present research is concerned with the transformations of pollutants on atmospheric aerosols (fog, rain, ice and snow), mercury sequestration in sediments and, studies on chemical dispersant design for sub-sea oil/gas spill. He is the author of 1 widely accepted textbook (with four editions), 200 peer-reviewed journal articles, 27 book chapters and 2 U.S. patents. He has made over 250 national and international presentations and 28 invited seminars and plenary lectures on his research. His research has been supported by the NSF, EPA, DOE, DOD, USGS and several private industries.
Ida Kubiszewski
Dr. Ida Kubiszewski is an Associate Professor at University College London (UCL) in the Institute for Global Prosperity. Prior to this, she was an Associate Professor at Crawford School of Public Policy at The Australian National University. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA)
Dr. Kubiszewski was a climate change negotiator for the country of the Dominican Republic, following adaptation and loss & damage. She was a delegate at the 19th through 21st Conference of Parties.
Dr. Kubiszewski is the author, or co-author, of over 70 scientific papers and co-authored or co-edited six books. Her editorial work includes being the founding managing editor and current Associate Editor of a magazine/journal hybrid called Solutions, as well as a co-founder and former managing editor of the Encyclopedia of Earth. She sits on the editorial boards or advisory boards of various journals, including Ecosystem Services, Anthropocene Review, Energies, and PeerJ.
