Natarajan Kannan
Dr. Natarajan Kannan is Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the Institute of Bioinformatics, University of Georgia.
Dr. Kannan's research group is an interdisciplinary research group using concepts and techniques from diverse disciplines including biophysics, biochemistry, and bioinformatics to understand how proteins, the molecular machines of life, work. Their current efforts are focused on protein kinases, a large and diverse family of enzymes that propagate cellular signals through the controlled phosphorylation of protein and small molecule substrates. They are additionally exploring other enzyme superfamilies, such as glycosyltransferases, critical in protein folding and metabolic pathways. They use a combination of computational and experimental approaches to understand how natural sequence variation contributes to functional variation in these enzyme superfamilies, and how non-natural variation contributes to disease.

Ravi Kant is an Associate Professor (Docent) of Medical Microbiology, working at Department of Virology & Department of Veterinary Biosciences, University of Helsinki with background in IT, NGS, genomics, bioinformatics and veterinary microbiology.

Mykola Karabiniuk
I work as an Associate professor of the Department of Physical Geography and Efficient Environmental Management of Uzhhorod National University. The scientific degree PhD (Geography) with a specialty in physical geography, geophysics and geochemistry of landscapes was awarded for the defense of a dissertation at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, which is devoted to the features of landscape organization and the efficiency of using the highlands of the Chornogora massif of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
I specialize in landscape diversity and evolutionary development of mountain systems, mapping and geoinformation analysis of the structure and properties of geocomplexes to determine the geoecological situation, as well as the problems of anthroposis of landscapes and efficient use of nature. For scientific achievements in the field of geoecology and the applied significance of the results of the study of the highlands of the Ukrainian Carpathians to solve environmental problems of the Danube region in 2021 I was awarded the Danubius Young Scientist Award. In 2025, based on the decision of the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the academic title of Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Geography and Rational Nature Management was awarded. I am also a full member of the Ukrainian Geographical Society.
Uğur Karadurmuş
Uğur Karadurmuş is an associate professor at the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University. He is an expert in environmental sciences, with interests in marine science, underwater technology and fisheries management. He has a PhD in fisheries management from the Karadeniz Technical University (Turkey) and serve on the Maritime Vocational School of the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University (Turkey).

Philip H Kass
Philip Kass received his DVM in 1983; Master of Preventive Veterinary Medicine in 1984, MS in Statistics in 1988, and PhD in Epidemiology in 1990. His post-doc was at UCLA under Dr. Sander Greenland. Currently Professor of Analytic Epidemiology at the School of Veterinary Medicine and School of Medicine at the University of California, Davis. Vice Provost of Academic Affairs since July 2017. Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, and is the former Chair of the Department of Population Health and Reproduction.

Linda W Kelly
I received my doctorate in 2013 from the SDSU/UCSD Joint Doctoral Program in Cell and Molecular Biology. I joined the Dept of Biology at San Diego State University as an Adjunct Research Professor in 2014. My research focuses on understanding changes in coastal marine microbial communities in response to environmental perturbations. Most of my research thus far has focused on coral associated microbes. Specifically, I use metagenomics to identify the taxonomic distribution and functional capacity of microbial communities in marine ecosystems that are subjected to varying nutrient availability, anthropogenic stressors, and comprising different benthic compositions.
