Prof. Chris Creevey is Professor for Computational Biology in the Institute for Global Food Security at Queen's University Belfast. His main interests are identifying the genomic factors influencing phenotypic changes in organisms from Bacteria to Eukaryotes with a focus on animal microbiomes. He received his Ph.D. in 2002 from the National University of Ireland for his work in the area of phylogenetics and comparative genomics. Following this he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in NUI Maynooth and the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. In 2009 he was awarded a Science Foundation Ireland Stokes lectureship in Teagasc Ireland and was awarded a Readership in Rumen Systems Biology in Aberystwyth University 2013. He started his current position in Queen's University Belfast in 2018.

Dr. Aldo Croquer graduated from Universidad Central De Venezuela in 1998. His PhD is in Biological Sciences and has been a Postdoctoral Fellow 3 times, a Senior Professor at Simon Bolivar University and currently Coral Program Manager of The Nature Conservancy in the Dominican Republic. I am interested in coral reef ecology, benthic ecology and coral biology ecology, including life history traits, coral disease-health dynamics and ecological restoration.
Zac completed his undergraduate (2006), Honors (2007) and Ph.D. (2013) at Southern Cross University and has been a lecturer at SCU since 2012. Zac is broadly interested in investigating the control and learning of motor skills in both functional and sporting contexts. His primary area of research is in neuromuscular changes with ageing and exercise but also has an interest in the potential application of cross-education on neuromuscular adaptations in injury and fatigue.
Rex Victor O. Cruz, PhD is a full professor and UP Scientist III at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB). He obtained his bachelor and masteral degrees in forestry at UPLB and his doctoral degree at the University of Arizona.
His specialization include forestry, watershed management, environmental management, ecosystem and landscape management, upland development and climate change.
He is a former dean of the CFNR (2007-2011) and Chancellor of UPLB (2011-2014). He was also a member of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 1992-1995; 1997-2000; and 2004-2007. Currently he is a member of the Asia Pacific Forestry Network Board of Directors and on the Editorial Board of several journals. He is also the Program and Project Leader of MODECERA (Monitoring and Detection of Ecosystem Changes for Resiliency and Adaptation), INWARD (Integrated Watershed Research and Development Project), and National Conservation Farming Village (CFV) Program.

Liza is a protein biochemist. She was awarded a Wellcome Trust International Postdoctoral Fellowship (University of St Andrews, UK) and then a National Breast Cancer Foundation Fellowship (University of Sydney, Australia). She moved to the School of Science and Health, University of Western Sydney in 2011 where she is a Senior Lecturer in Biochemistry. Her current research focuses on understanding the molecular interactions of novel proteins involved in DNA repair and chromatin remodeling.
Andrea Cucco is a scientist in physical oceanography at the Institute of Coastal Marine Environment of the Italian National Research Council. He is focused on numerical modeling and, specifically, on the development and application of hydrodynamic and environmental models based on the finite elements methods. His research activity and scientific production is highly interdisciplinary and related to several aspects of the oceanography including the reproduction of the sea currents and wind waves in coastal and near-shore areas, the transport and diffusion processes occurring at the sea surface as well the interactions between the physical environment and the marine ecosystem. He is involved in several research initiatives aimed to predict the risk and the danger coming from the potential and accidental release of hydrocarbons in the marine environment. PhD in Marine Environmental Science at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, Member of IAPSO from 2016.
Xiangqin Cui is an associate professor in the Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Department at Emory University. She received her Ph.D in Genetics at Iowa State University in 2001 and a three-year postdoctoral training in statistical genetics at the Jackson Laboratory afterwards. She spent 13 years at UAB before moving to Emory in 2017. Her current research is on observational studies using electronics health records and clinical trials.
