Sonia MR Oliveira

Doctor Sonia Oliveira holds a Licenciatura in Biology (pre-Bologna) and a Master in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Aveiro, where she also specialized in medicinal plants, toxicology, murine models, and spermatogenesis. In 2011 she moved to Australia to work in Reproductive Biological Sciences. She later explored the nerve-cancer connection in Cancer, namely in female cancers, and completed her Ph.D. in Human Physiology ( with a significant component in Medical Biochemistry and Neurophysiology) from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 2018. She then worked with biomimetic systems and nanotechnology in diabetes and stem cells. She explored multiple methods for primary and secondary cell culture, always with a keen interest in histopathology, cell biology, and rare disorders. Participated in >40 event(s). (Co-)Supervised MSc dissertation(s) and final projects for course completion of LSc/BSc. And works mostly in the area(s) of Natural sciences with emphasis on Molecular and Cellular Biology, and Medical and Health Sciences with emphasis on Neurosciences, Cancer, Reproduction, Toxicology, Biotechnology, and Stem cells. Also has collaborations in Microbiology, Biomaterials, and Communication and Information technologies.

Albert Salas-Huetos

Dr. Salas-Huetos obtained his Bachelor of Science (Biology) from the Universitat de Girona (UdG) in 2009, his MSc in Cell Biology in 2010 at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), and his Ph.D. in Cell Biology (Cum-Laude and Extraordinary Doctorate Award) in 2016 at the same University (UAB). He joined the Genetics of Male Fertility group (UAB) as a PhD Student, and Human Nutrition Unit (Universitat Rovira i Virgili; URV) in 2016 as a Post-doctoral Fellowship. He spent a three-month Post-doctoral stay (September-December 2017) at Universidad de Guadalajara in Mexico. In 2018, he joined the University of Utah (USA) and in 2020 the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard University; USA) as a Post-doctoral Fellow. Nowadays he is a Visiting Scholar at Harvard University for the Department of Nutrition, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a Post-doctoral Fellow at Universitat de Girona (JdlCI). Currently, he is working on different large international multicentric projects related to genetics and epigenetics of male (in)fertility, and nutrition. The main contributions of his scientific activity are reflected in a total of 63 original articles (Q1: 51/63; first or corresponding author: 23/63) in SCI/JCR-journals (+ 5 submitted), and 3 book chapter (+2 submitted). He has attended 9 national/international conferences as invited (plenary) speaker and he was the leading author of 10 contributions in international conferences (+15 as a collaborator author).

Qing-Yuan Sun

Professor of Reproductive and Developmental Biology, vice-president of Chinese Society of Zoology, president of Chinese Society for Cellular and Molecular Microscopy, Secretary General of Chinese Society of Reproductive Biology, and former director of the State Key Laboratory of Reproductive Biology, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Aslı Suner

Dr. Aslı Suner Karakülah currently works at Ege University, School of Medicine, Department of Biostatistics and Medical Informatics in Turkey as an associate professor. She obtained BSc (2005), MSc (2007) and PhD (2013) degrees from Dokuz Eylül University, Science Faculty, Statistics Department in Turkey. Between March 2011 and February 2012, she joined Professor Klaus-Peter Adlassnig’s research group as a visiting PhD student at Medical University of Vienna, Center for Medical Statistics, Informatics, and Intelligent Systems, Section for Medical Expert and Knowledge-Based Systems, Vienna, Austria. Her main research interests include: biostatistics, bioinformatics, medical informatics and applied statistics – particularly the analysis of problems in decision theory, multicriteria decision making, clinical decision support systems, and data mining.

Lil E. Valentin

Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Lund University, Sweden. Fellow ad eundum of the Royal Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (UK). Former editor of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Former chairman and secretary of the Swedish society of medical ultrasound. Member of European Committee for Medical Ultrasound Safety, member of Clinical Standards Committe of International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Małgorzata Wójcik

I am a physiotherapist with 26 years of experience (I am a therapist specialising in the following methods: NDT-Bobath, PNF, Cyriax, musculo-fascial relaxation) and DO osteopath (including pediatric osteopath).
I have a PhD degree and have published scientific articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals. I focus on physiotherapy for children and adults with musculoskeletal disorders.I also work with women with endometriosis or prolapse of the reproductive organs.
