Jose M. Moran, Ph. D., is currently Assistant Professor in the Nursing Department in the University of Extremadura, Spain. He completed his Ph. D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Actually he is a member of the Metabolic Bone Diseases Research Group in the University of Extremadura. He is a reviewer and Academic Editor of several international journals. Actually he combines both the research in the field of Metabolic Bone Diseases and the research in Research Designs and Statistical Methods used in the research in Health Sciences.
Paula I. Moreira
Paula I. Moreira is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Principal Investigator at the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology, University of Coimbra. Moreira published more than 100 scientific peer-reviewed articles and she is on the editorial board of over 10 journals. Paula Moreira won the Stimulus to Research prize, in 2003, supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and, the L’Oreal for Women in Science, in 2008, supported by L'Oreal Portugal/UNESCO/ FCT.
Aya Mousa
Dr Aya Mousa is a NHMRC biomedical research fellow and the Head of Diabetes, Metabolic and Reproductive Health research at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), Monash University.
Dr Mousa leads a team at MCHRI focusing on diabetes, metabolic and reproductive disorders, which includes work in obesity, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, and in pregnancy including gestational diabetes and the cross-talk between metabolic and reproductive disorders.
M Murugappan
Prof. Dr. M. Murugappan is currently a Full Professor of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kuwait College of Science and Technology (KCST), Kuwait. In India, Malaysia, and Kuwait, he taught and conducted research for more than 15 years. Stanford University researchers ranked him in the top 2-percent of scientists worldwide in 2020, 2021, and 2022 for Experimental Psychology, Artificial Intelligence, and Cognitive Neuroscience.
He has authored 70 articles in SCI/SCOPUS journals, 58 conference proceedings, seven book chapters, and edited eight books. Google Scholar records a maximum score of 5654+ citations, along with an H index of 37 and an i10 score of 81 (Ref: Google Scholar). He has been awarded nearly $2.5M for his research by the Malaysian government and the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS).
Prof. Murugappan is a member of professional international societies such as IEEE, IET, IACSIT, IAENG, IEI and a Charted Engineer (C.Eng). He has given expert talks in Affective Computing, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, and Affective Neuroscience. He is currently the IEEE Kuwait Section's Chair of Educational Activities. Affective Computing, Affective Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Brain-Computer Interface, Neuromarketing, Neuroeconomics, Medical Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence are his primary interests. He has also guided 14 postgraduate students, 9 Ph.D., and 5 M.Sc.
He is currently an Editorial Board member for PLOS ONE (Q2), Human Centric Information Sciences (Q1), the Journal of Medical Imaging and Health Informatics (Q4), and the International Journal of Cognitive Informatics. He is serving as an editor in several peer-reviewed journals such as PlosOne, HCIS, JMIHI

Sonia MR Oliveira
Doctor Sonia Oliveira holds a Licenciatura in Biology (pre-Bologna) and a Master in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Aveiro, where she also specialized in medicinal plants, toxicology, murine models, and spermatogenesis. In 2011 she moved to Australia to work in Reproductive Biological Sciences. She later explored the nerve-cancer connection in Cancer, namely in female cancers, and completed her Ph.D. in Human Physiology ( with a significant component in Medical Biochemistry and Neurophysiology) from the University of Newcastle (Australia) in 2018. She then worked with biomimetic systems and nanotechnology in diabetes and stem cells. She explored multiple methods for primary and secondary cell culture, always with a keen interest in histopathology, cell biology, and rare disorders. Participated in >40 event(s).
