Liang Gao
Dr. Liang Gao currently works as a senior Research Fellow at the Center of Experimental Orthopaedics, Saarland University, Germany. His clinical interests include sports medicine, arthroplasty, and traumatology. His research focuses on joint preservation and orthobiologics.
Dr. Gao studied Medicine in China and Germany with intensive fellowship training in both Asia and Europe. He completed the Musculoskeletal Surgical Oncology residency training at Peking University Medical Center, China. Moreover, he obtained his master of science degree (Radiation Oncology) from Heidelberg University, Germany and his doctorate (Biological Therapy) summa cum laude from Saarland University, Germany.
Dr. Gao is the Member of the Basic Science Committee of International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society (ICRS), the Member of the Early Career Investigator Committee of Osteoarthritis Research Society International (OARSI), and the Founding Member of the Sino Euro Orthopaedics Society (SEOS).
Gregory E. Gilbert
Currently Dr. Gilbert works for ICON plc, one of the leading CROs in the world, as a Senior Statistical Analyst. He has over 25 years of research and statistical programming experience. Before joining ICON, Greg supported 2 medical schools, a nursing school, & a vet school doing educational & clinical research. Greg is an accredited statistician by the American Statistical Association. In his position he leads development of statistical analysis plans, executes programming deliverables on multiple projects, and applies standard programming methods using SAS® for complex data reporting tasks. He communicates deliverable results with clients participating in the development of abstracts, presentations, and manuscripts. In addition to working at ICON plc, Dr. Gilbert is a biostatistician at SigmaStats Consulting, LLC a firm specializing in assisting doctoral students in completing their research or projects. Greg has co-authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and 4 book chapters. He has experience with complex statistical methodologies including survival analysis (Kaplan Meier and proportional hazard), linear regression, mixed model regression, reproducible results, G theory, psychometrics, and R. Prior to receiving his EdD, Greg received a MSPH in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from the Univ of South Carolina (1991) and a BA in Psychology from Baylor (1987). He currently resides in Charleston, SC USA with his wife of over 30 years and 2 basset hounds.

Andrew R Gray
I am a biostatistician in the Biostatistics Centre at the University of Otago, a role I have held since 2004. Most of my work involves collaborating on a wide range of research projects in the health sciences, particularly in paediatric obesity, sleep, and physical activity; respiratory epidemiology, mostly asthma and COPD; dentistry; and health systems. I also work on statistical methods research, mostly topics inspired by these collaborations.
Prior to my current position I was a software metrics and machine learning researcher in the Department of Information Science at the same institution.
Lei Huang
Dr. Lei Huang is a cancer epidemiologist, translational oncologist, digestive surgeon, surgical oncologist, and gastroenterologist. He has published about 50 papers in SCI(E)-indexed journals including Gut, Annals of Surgery, BMC Medicine, JAMA Surgery, Clinical Cancer Research, Cancer Immunology Research, International Journal of Cancer, EBioMedicine, and Gastric Cancer. His works have been cited for about 1000 times.
Dr. Huang has served on the editorial board of Frontiers in Oncology, World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology, PeerJ, Medicine, and Translational Cancer Research, and Frontiers in Surgery. He has been peer reviewer for about 50 SCI(E)-indexed journals including Annals of Internal Medicine, Annals of Surgery, Clinical Cancer Research, Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network-JNCCN, Cancer Letters, Oncoimmunology, and Oncologist. He was selected as Best Reviewer for Annals of Internal Medicine twice in 2017 and 2019.
Dr. Huang has been invited to give oral presentations in the ASCO Annual Meeting and International Gastric Cancer Congress (IGCC), and has received Merit Awards in the ESMO Annual Meeting and Awards for Young Investigators in the IGCC.
His research interests majorly cover the epidemiological, clinical, and translational aspects of digestive cancers. He has successfully coordinated several large international investigations with participants from the US and about 20 European countries.
Faizan Kashoo
Mr. Faizan Zaffar Kashoo is affiliated with the University of Majma'ah's Department of Applied Medical Sciences. He is currently serving in the role of lecturer. He has published numerous articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals and presented scientific papers worldwide. Because of the contributions and active association with various societies and academies. Subject-matter experts all over the world acknowledge him. His contributions are recognized by numerous prestigious awards, including the best inventor award at the 43rd inventors meeting in Geneva. Clinical and scientific research interests of Dr. Faizan Zaffar Kashoo include stroke rehabilitation, Bell's palsy, neurorehabilitation, telerehabilitation, and transcranial brain stimulation.

Shivam Mehta
Dr. Mehta has expertise in the biology of orthodontic tooth movement, mini-screw assisted rapid palatal expansion, Artificial Intelligence in dentistry and a passion for improving the health and wellbeing of Osteogenesis Imperfecta. Dr. Mehta is thankful to the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation (AAOF), Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO), National Science Foundation (NSF) Innovation Corps (I-Corps) for supporting his research with more than 4 grants. He works as an Assistant Professor at Marquette University School of Dentistry, American Dental Association (ADA) Standard’s Committee - Represents the interests of United States regarding dental and orthodontic materials as an active member of ADA Standards Committee on Dental Products (SCDP)/Standards Committee on Dental Informatics (SCDI); Secretary American Dental Education Association (ADEA) Postgraduate Application Support Service Advisory Council; Northeastern Society of Orthodontists (NESO) Annual Planning Committee and moderator for scientific sessions; Past core-member of President’s Council on Race and Diversity.
Carlos Fernando Mourão
Dr. Mourao, a distinguished Brazilian dental surgeon, obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Universidade Estacio de Sa in 2005. He has over 15 years of private practice experience and has developed expertise in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) and Implant Dentistry.
Between 2014 and 2019, Dr. Mourao held the rank of Lieutenant (Officer) in the Brazilian Navy. He served as a dentist in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Implant Dentistry. In addition, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Periodontology, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, in Boston, United States.
Dr. Mourao's academic background encompasses a professorship in the Department of OMFS at Universidade Estacio de Sa from 2007 to 2012. Presently, he teaches in the graduate program in Dentistry at Sao Paulo University (USP) and Biotechnology at Fluminense Federal University (UFF).
He earned a Master's degree in Surgical Sciences (2012) from the School of Medicine at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil, where he acquired extensive experience in animal research with rabbits, rats, and pigs. Furthermore, he obtained a Ph.D. in Dentistry (2017) from UFF, Brazil, conducting clinical trials during his studies.
After his doctoral studies, Dr. Mourao completed two postdoctoral fellowships at UFF in Biotechnology (2017-2021) and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2018-2021). He has also demonstrated a strong aptitude for securing federal and private grants to support research projects.
As a researcher, Dr. Mourao's areas of specialization include blood-derived growth factors, bone regeneration, tissue engineering, bone graft analysis, dental implants, and oral surgery. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for a wide array of national and international academic journals.
Aya Mousa
Dr Aya Mousa is a NHMRC biomedical research fellow and the Head of Diabetes, Metabolic and Reproductive Health research at the Monash Centre for Health Research and Implementation (MCHRI), Monash University.
Dr Mousa leads a team at MCHRI focusing on diabetes, metabolic and reproductive disorders, which includes work in obesity, type 1 and type 2 diabetes, polycystic ovary syndrome, and in pregnancy including gestational diabetes and the cross-talk between metabolic and reproductive disorders.
Tuan V. Nguyen
Dr. Nguyen is Distinguished Professor of Predictive Medicine at the School of Biomedical Engineering, University of Technology Sydney (Australia). He also holds joint appointments as Professor, St Vincent's Clinical School, University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney); and adjunct Professor of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame Australia.
Lorraine O'Driscoll
Lorraine O'Driscoll (BSc(Hons, Pharm), MSc(Res, Clin Pharm), MA(Ed), PhD(Biotech), FTCD) Lorraine holds a BSc(Hons),pharmacology; MSc(Res), clinical pharmacology; MA, education; PhD, biotechnology. In 2012, she was elected to Fellowship in TCD. Following her PhD, Lorraine undertook biotechnology/biomedical research for US and EU industry (including Berlex; Archport Ltd-Axonobel; MediSyn Ltd; MedaNova Ltd.) before returning to academia. At post-doctoral level, she gained experience at the Dana-Farber Harvard Cancer Institute and University of Miami. Prior to joining TCD in 2008, Lorraine most recently held the position of Senior Research Programme Leader and Lecturer in School of Biotechnology, DCU.
Her research group focuses on diagnostic, prognostic and predictive biomarkers; discovering new therapeutic targets; cancer cells communication via exosomes, microvesicles and CTCs; elucidating and circumventing resistance to targets agents and classical chemotherapy; associations between obesity, metabolic syndrome and cancer.
She has been a P.I. on 5 cancer clinical trials with ICORG. She is TCD's Principal Investigator on SFI-supported Molecular Therapeutics for Cancer Ireland; Strand Leader of Irish Cancer Society-supported Breast-PREDICT; and P.I. and Chair, H2020-supported European Network Cooperation in Science and Technology focussed on Exosomes & Microvesicles in Health & Disease which brings together researchers from around the world, in academia and industry.
