Alexander Bolshoy

Dr. Bolshoy has completed his PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science in 1993. He is the author of the book "Genome Clustering: from linguistics models to classification of genetic texts", Springer-Verlag, 2010, and many scientific articles. He is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Bioinformatics and Biology Insights, Computational Biology and Chemistry, ISRN Bioinformatics; and Linguistic Frontiers.

Carlos Fernandez-Lozano

Dr. Carlos Fernandez-Lozano is an Associate Professor at the University of A Coruña (UDC). He is a biomedical data scientist with a deep interest in discovering the complex relationships between different biological levels. His research track is multidisciplinary as he is trained in computer science, machine learning, bioinformatics, and biostatistics. His research line is focused on how biological interactions are manifested at the disease level through the use, development, and application of kernel-based computational approaches that integrate different levels of biological data on the microorganism, gene, protein, and medical imaging axis.

Dr. Željko Stević is Associate Professor at University of East Sarajevo, Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering Doboj. He received PhD in Transport and Traffic Engineering from University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Technical Sciences 2018.
Also, he is Chief Research Fellow at Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Lithuania.
Also, he is Adjunct professor at College of Engineering, Korea University, Seoul, Korea
Dr. Stević's research interests include, logistics; supply chain management; transport; traffic engineering; soft computing; multi-criteria decision making problems; rough set theory; sustainability; fuzzy set theory; neutrosophic set theory and circular economy.

He has published over 250 papers from the area of his interest. ResearchGate (H42), Google Scholar (H44). (SCOPUS) – H35, (WoS) – H28. He is also Editor in chief of the 3 journals, and member of Program Committee 40, in addition to a number of journals and conferences.

Dr. Stević is also a co-author of the new methods in field of operations research and decision-making, and the World's Top 2% Scientist for 2020, 2021, 2022 (Released by Stanford University).

HIs awards include: Jan 2018: Medal merit for the people in the field of education and science. Nov 2017: The best young researcher of the 3rd cycle (Doctoral) studies, September 2019 Award: Top Peer Reviewer in the Global Peer Review Awards 2019 (Publons). José Alberto Benítez-Andrades

Jose Alberto Benítez-Andrades received the B.S. degree in Computer Engineering and PhD in Production Engineering and Computing from the University of León, Spain, in 2010 and 2017 respectively. He is Associate Professor at the University of León. His research is related to the application of artificial intelligence techniques, knowledge engineering and social network analysis applied mainly to problems related to the field of health. He has more than 40 publications indexed in JCR, 30 communications in international conferences, is associate editor of the journal BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making, has organized several international conferences since 2018 and is an evaluator of international projects for the government of Spain and Peru.

Prof. Dr. Jiachen Yang is an Associate Editor for “Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing”, “Alexandria Engineering Journal”, “IEEE Access”, “IET Image Processing”, “Sensors”, etc. Currently, he is a Professor at the School of Electronical and Information Engineering, Tianjin University. From 2014 to 2015, he was a visiting scholar with the Department of Computer Science, School of Science, Loughborough University, U.K. In 2019, He was a visiting scholar with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. His recent research interests include image processing, artificial intelligence, and information security. He has published more than 150 technical articles in highly ranked journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Neural Network and Learning System, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, etc. His Google Scholar H-index is 28.

Mehmet Cunkas

Dr. Mehmet Cunkas is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Selçuk University. Prior to his academic appointment, he worked as an electrical field engineer and customer manager at Electricity Distribution Inc. He has authored numerous publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Cunkas also serves as a section editor and editorial board member for several SCI-indexed journals and contributes as a scientific committee member at international conferences. His research interests include electric machines, artificial intelligence, optimization theory and computing, load forecasting, and renewable energy systems.

Varun Gupta received his Doctorate (cum laude) in Organizational Engineering, Doctorate (International/European Doctorate, Cum Lade) in Economics and Business Management, as well as in Computer Science and Engineering. He also earned his MBA (General), Máster en Dirección Internacional de Empresas, Master of Technology (By Research) in Computer Science & Engineering, and Bachelor of Technology (Hons.) in Computer Science & Engineering.
He is a Professor of Digital Innovation and Head of the Multidisciplinary Research Centre for Innovations in SMEs (MrciS) at Gisma University of Applied Sciences, Potsdam, Germany. Previously, he was associated with University of Toronto (Canada), Leicester University (United Kingdom), Universidad de Alcalá (Spain), Software Engineering Research Group (SERG), Lund University (Sweden), Sapienza Università di Roma (Italy), Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy), University of South-Eastern Norway (Norway), Poznań University of Technology (Poland), Uniwersytet Szczeciński (Poland).
Prof. Gupta is an Associate Editor of IEEE Access (an SCIE Indexed publication of IEEE), PeerJ Computer Science (an SCIE-indexed publication of PeerJ), PLOS One (an SCIE-indexed publication of PLOS), International Journal of Computer Aided Engineering & Technology (Scopus-indexed publication of Inderscience Publishers), IEEE Software blog, and Journal of Cases on Information Technology (ESCI & Scopus Indexed publication of IGI Global), and is a former editorial team member of the British Journal of Educational Technology (BJET) (an SCIE indexed publication of Wiley). Prof. Gupta has worked on multiple projects that have been supported by various agencies such as the European Union and the Spanish National Programme. His area of interest is evidence-based software engineering, innovation management, Digital Transformations and Innovation, Technology Adoptions in SMEs, entrepreneurship, and international business management.

Jingzhe Wang

Jingzhe Wang received his Ph. D in Cartography and Geographic Information System from Xinjiang University, Urumqi, China, in 2019. He is now working as a research associate at MNR Key Laboratory for Geo-Environmental Monitoring of Great Bay Area, Shenzhen University. His research interests focus on Earth observation and remote sensing, spectral modeling, quantitative estimation of soil properties, digital soil mapping, GIS, spatial analysis, and environmental sustainability. He has published over 60 papers in peer-reviewed international journals in these related research areas and has served as a reviewer for many journals and conferences including Remote Sensing of Environment, Ecological Indicators, Computers and Electronics in Agriculture.

Stephen R Piccolo

He earned a B.S. degree in Management Information Systems from BYU in 2001 and then worked as a software engineer for five years at Intel Corporation in Chandler, Arizona. In 2011, he received a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah (advised by Dr. Lewis J. Frey). From 2011-2014, he was postdoctoral researcher jointly at the University of Utah (Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, advised by Dr. Andrea H. Bild) and Boston University School of Medicine (Division of Computational Biomedicine, advised by Dr. W. Evan Johnson). He teaches classes in biology and bioinformatics.

The Piccolo lab's overarching goal is to use advanced computational approaches to act on large and complex data sets in an interdisciplinary approach. As such, the lab integrates knowledge and techniques across biology, computer science, medicine, and statistics using "dry lab biology'' to take advantage of massive, publicly available databases.

Ana Gabriela Maguitman is a Principal Researcher at the National Council for Science and Technology (CONICET) of Argentina and an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of the Universidad Nacional del Sur (Argentina). She obtained her PhD in Computer Science at Indiana University (USA). Dr. Maguitman leads the Knowledge Management and Information Retrieval Research Group at Universidad Nacional del Sur. Her main research areas include Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Information Retrieval.

José Manuel Galán

José M. Galán is a Professor at the Department of Management Engineering. He received a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the Universidad de Valladolid and a Ph.D. degree in Industrial and Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Burgos. His research has focused on computational modelling and simulation, especially on agent-based modelling. He initially combined analytical approaches together with simulation and, more recently, with network theory and statistical and machine learning. Former president of the Complex Sociotechnical Systems Association. Member of the European Social Simulation Association and the INSISOC research group.
