Luca Testarelli
Professor Testarelli is Associate at the 1st Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” since 2006. Dentist in Dental Clinic of Policlinico Umberto I’s Hospital of Rome since 2011. He completed a Ph.D with the highest marks at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2004) and obtained a Specialization Diploma in Orthognathodontics, at the University of L’Aquila (2008). Professor Testarelli is a member of several scientific national and international associations, and a member of the editorial board for several dental scientific journals. He is also Professor of Dental Restorative, Endodontics in School of Dentistry in Sapienza University of Rome, Professor of Oral Care in School of Dental Hygienist in Sapienza University of Rome and Professor of PhD Dentistry in Sapienza University of Rome.
Travis Beddoe
Prof. Travis Beddoe is a multidisciplinary scientist, training initially as a plant biochemist before studying molecular chaperones in mitochondrial targeting as a PhD student (awarded March 2004), and eventually training in biophysical and structural biology in immune receptors as a postdoctoral researcher. He started his independent research career at Monash University with an NHMRC CDA fellowship (2008) followed by a Pfizer Australia Research fellowship (2010) in the area of glycan specificity in bacterial pathogenesis and physiology. Dr. Beddoe changed research fields when he was recruited to La Trobe University in 2014 as a senior lecturer to establish a laboratory focused on livestock-pathogen interactions in the School of Animal, Plant and Soil Science located in the AgriBio centre. His research is concentrated on aiding animal health with a focus on field-based diagnostics, molecular understanding of the role glycans and glycan-binding proteins play in disease pathogenesis and vaccine development.

Biologist, PhD in Biotechnology. Director of the Centro BASAL Ciencia & Vida. Head Researcher of the Computational Biology Lab (dLab) at Fundacion Ciencia & Vida, Santiago, Chile. Research Professor at Facultad de Ingeniería y Tecnología, Universidad San Sebastián.

Ingalls-Brown endowed Professor of Anatomy at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Author of 'The Walking Whales.' Associate Editor of PeerJ, the Zoological Journal of the Linnean Society and the Journal of the Palaeontological Society of India. Co-Editor of the 'Encyclopedia of Marine Mammals,' and 'The Bowhead Whale, Balaena mysticetus, Biology and Human Interactions.'
Petteri Muukkonen
Dr. Petteri Muukkonen is a senior lecturer in geoinformatics. He is a geographer, and specifically owns a strong background in biogeography and in geoinformatics. He has mainly studied various biogeography and forestry themes in the boreal forest environment. For example, Dr. Muukkonen has studied carbon sequestration and carbon cycle, biomass surveys and monitoring, spatial autocorrelation of soil characteristics, landscape fragmentation, habitat changes and remote sensing of forest landscape. Geoinformatics (GIS and remote sensing) has been present in some way in all of his research topics.
Bruce S Lieberman
Dr. Bruce Lieberman is a paleontologist and evolutionary biologist interested in macroevolution and the evolutionary history of invertebrates.
João Paulo Mendes Tribst
Dr. Tribst is a passionate dentist with Master's and PhD in restorative dentistry, with a specialty in dental prosthesis, from São Paulo State University. He has experience in dentistry with an emphasis on dental materials, dental prosthesis, dental ceramics, finite element analysis, dental implants, and mouthguards. He completed a sandwich PhD at ACTA (Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam), School of Dentistry at Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, Netherlands from 09/2018 to 09/2019. He is an Assistant Professor in the Academisch Centrum Tandheelkunde Amsterdam (ACTA).
Alexander S Mikheyev
I am principally interested in how ecological forces shape genomic evolution. To do this I have been taking advantage of ongoing developments in sequencing technology. I try to remain on the cutting edge of this fast-moving field by developing new molecular and analytical methods for sequencing, with a particular focus on degraded DNA, such as in museum specimens. I choose study organisms for their suitability to the project at hand, and have worked on everything from microorganisms, to insects to snakes. Despite this diversity, much of my work has focused on the biology of social insects, and they remain a personal passion.
Barbara Bartolini
I have a degree in Biological Sciences with specialization in biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of Pavia, Italy, where I got also my Ph.D. degree in biochemistry with a thesis on fibrillar collagens, proteoglycans, and integrins and their role in the extracellular matrix organization.
My main scientific interest is glycobiology, as I have worked on hyaluronan, dermatan sulfate and heparan sulfate, oxidation specific epitopes and atherosclerosis.
I have also a strong background in cell biology and especially in cell migration and motility.
Brock A Harpur
Brock Harpur is an Assistant Professor at Purdue University. His work explores the evolution and genetics of honey bees. Brock completed his Ph.D. on population genomics of honey bees at York University. Brock has been awarded the prestigious Julie Payette Research Scholarship from the National Science and Engineering Research Council, an Ontario Graduate Scholarship, the Entomological Society of Canada’s President’s Prize, and was an Elia Research Scholar during his time at York University.
David I Stern
David Stern is a professor in the Crawford School of Policy at The Australian National University and Director of the International and Development Economics Program. He is an energy and environmental economist, whose research focuses on the role of energy in growth and development and environmental impacts including climate change. He is also interested in research assessment. David is currently the chief investigator for an ARC Discovery Project on "Energy Efficiency Innovation, Diffusion and the Rebound Effect" and is one of six theme leaders for a UK Department for International Development funded project on electricity and economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. He was a lead author for the chapter on Drivers, Trends, and Mitigation in Working Group III’s contribution to the IPCC’s 5th Assessment Report. He was elected as a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia in 2016. He is an associate editor of Ecological Economics and on the editorial boards of Nature Energy and Open Economics and is a Fellow of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.
