Giancarlo Sperlì
Giancarlo Sperlì is an assistant professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the University of Naples Federico II.
He obtained his PhD in Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at the same University defending his thesis: "Multimedia Social Networks".
He is a member of the Pattern Analysis and Intelligent Computation for Multimedia Systems (PICUS) departmental research groups. His main research interests are in the area of Cybersecurity, Semantic Analysis of Multimedia Data and Social Networks Analysis.
He has served as guest editor of different special issues on International Journals. Finally, he has authored about 118 publications in international journals, conference proceedings and book chapters.
Steven John Thompson
I teach at Savannah State University and at University of Maryland Global Campus. Former faculty at Johns Hopkins University, Dartmouth College, UC Davis. I have been teaching college students for over 20 years. My research expertise is in Internet phenomena: access, addiction, agency, control, dependency, governance, and policy; and engineering ethics in Science, Technology, and Society (STS) merging the Internet with physical bodies. I am the Editor for Machine Law, Ethics and Morality in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (2021); Androids, Cyborgs, and Robots in Contemporary Culture and Society (2017); and, Global Issues and Ethical Considerations in Human Enhancement Technologies (2014).
Julita Vassileva
Professor in Computer Science, University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Her research area is human issues in decentralized computing technologies and applications: user modeling, personalization, trust modeling, intelligent educational and persuasive technologies.
Jingbo Wang
Prof Wang's research spans several disciplines including quantum dynamics theory, quantum computation and information, atomic physics, and computational science. She has published extensively, including a recent book published by Springer, four book chapters, and numerous journal papers. Prof Wang currently leads the quantum dynamics and computation group at The University of Western Australia. She and her research team have developed advanced numerical techniques to solve problems in both quantum and classical domain.
Robert Wille
Robert Wille received the Diploma and Dr.-Ing. degrees in computer science from the University of Bremen in 2006 and 2009, respectively. Since 2006, he is with the Group of Computer Architecture at the University of Bremen and, since 2013, with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI). Additionally, he worked as Lecturer at the University of Applied Science in Bremen and as visiting professor at the University of Potsdam as well as the Technical University Dresden, Germany.
Robert Winkler
Robert Winkler is Principal Investigator of the Laboratory of Biochemical and Instrumental Analysis at the CINVESTAV Unidad Irapuato and faculty member for the postgraduate programs Plant Biotechnology and Integrative Biology. His research topics include novel mass spectrometry techniques such as low-temperature plasma ionization and covalent protein staining, new approaches in the high-throughput metabolomic profiling of plants, computational mass spectrometry and proteomics.
Chenshu Wu
Chenshu Wu is an Assistant Research Scientist in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Maryland, College Park. He is also the Chief Scientist at Origin Wireless Inc.,a spotlight startup working on wireless AI. He received his Ph.D in 2015 in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, and his B.E. in 2010 in the School of Software, both from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
Lisu Yu
Lisu Yu received a Ph.D. degree at Key Laboratory of Information Coding and Transmission, Southwest Jiaotong University, Chengdu, China. He was a Visiting Scholar at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR, USA, and the University of Houston, Houston, TX, USA. He has served as the student activities chair of IEEE Communication Society Chengdu Chapter and several international conferences technical program committee (TPC) members, Section Chair, and Special Track Chair. He is now serving as an Area Editor of the Elsevier Physical Communication, Associate Area Editor of Journal of Electronics & Information Technology, and Editor of the Elsevier Computer Communications, PeerJ Computer Science, PLOS ONE, and Frontiers in Signal Processing for Communications, and a Managing Guest Editor of Elsevier Internet of Things and Cyber-Physical Systems, and IEEE Communications Society Technical Committee on Green Communications and Computing (TCGCC) and Signal Processing and Computing for Communications (SPCC) Members. He is a Senior Member of CIC. He is currently an associate professor in the School of Information Engineering, Nanchang University, China. His main research interests include advanced wireless communications (B5G/6G), machine learning, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), ultra-dense network (UDN), unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), visible light communication (VLC), and blockchain.
Yu-Dong Zhang
From 2010 to 2012, Dr. Yudong (Eugene) Zhang worked at Columbia University as a postdoc. From 2012 to 2013, he worked as an assistant research scientist at Columbia University and New York State Psychiatric Institute. From 2013 to 2017, he is a full professor and doctoral advisor at School of Computer Science and Technology at Nanjing Normal University. He also serves as the academic leader of the“Jiangsu key laboratory of 3D printing equipment and manufacturing”. At present, he is a Professor in Knowledge Discovery and Machine Learning, in Department of Informatics, University of Leicester, United Kingdom. His research interests focus on computer-aided medical diagnosis and biomedical image processing.
Wenbing Zhao
My primary expertise is in the field of dependable distributed system where I have published extensively on blockchain, Byzantine fault tolerance, intrusion tolerance, replication, and distributed consensus. My secondary expertise, which is also what I find extremely exciting currently, is in the field of smart and connected healthcare with particular interest in human motion recognition, human computer interface, computer vision, machine learning, and fuzzy Inference.
