Qianwen Zhang

Dr. Qianwen Zhang is an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University.

Her research is focusing on Organic Agriculture, Biostimulant Application, Controlled Environment Agriculture, Hydroponics, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Microbiology, and Sensory Evaluation.

Songning Zhang

Songning Zhang (PhD & FACSM) is a professor of biomechanics and the director of the Biomechanics/Sports Medicine Laboratory at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is a fellow of American College of Sports Medicine and a member of American Society of Biomechanics, International Society of Biomechanics, and China Sport Science Society. He is a visiting professor at the Shanghai University of Sports and at the Nanjing Sports Institute, China. His publications include work appearing in biomechanics, sports science, medical journals, and book chapters. He is currently an associate editor and editorial board member for Journal of Sport and Health Science, and an associate editor for Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, and an editorial board member of PeerJ. He has reviewed manuscripts for many academic peer-reviewed journals, including the Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise; Journal of Biomechanics, Gait and Posture, Clinical Biomechanics, Arthritis Care & Research, etc.

Jianjun Zhang

Professor at the School of Land Science and Technology, China University of Geosciences (Beijing).

I work on land use and sustainability, ecological modeling, land economics and regional planning, low-carbon land use and ecosystem services in human disturbance zones, urban management. The focus of my current research has been expanded to green infrastructures, ecologic economics and heat island effects related with land use.

Guorong Zhang

Associate Professor and wheat breeder at the Kansas State University, USA. Research interests: wheat genetics and variety development, genetic mapping, marker assisted selection, and genetic diversity.

Xin Zhang

Dr. Xin Zhang is Department Director and Principal Investigator of the Clinical Experimental Center at Jiangmen Central Hospital (China). He received his Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine from Sun Yat-sen University in 2016. Dr. Zhang is an enthusiastic, early career scientist involved in interdisciplinary training and has a strong biological background, including molecular pathology, molecular diagnostics, and molecular pharmacology. His current research interests mainly focus on the molecular mechanism of tumor recurrence and metastasis, clinical application of molecular diagnosis, and molecular pharmacological mechanism of traditional Chinese medicine in potential therapeutic application of cancer.

Haikun Zhao

I am a full Professor in the College of Atmospheric Science at Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology (NUIST), China. I received my Ph.D. in Atmospheric Science from NUIST in 2012. I have been working on tropical cyclones and climate change, seasonal and intra-seasonal tropical cyclone forecasts since 2007. I have published over 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals such as the Nature Communications, Journal of Climate, and Geophysical Research Letters.

Min Zhao

I pursued my bioinformatics Ph.D. degree in the center of bioinformatics in Peking University. During my Ph.D. study, I received comprehensive training in molecular biology, biostatistics and bioinformatics including research designs, computational tool development and database implementation. With a solid background and comprehensive knowledge in bioinformatics and biological networks, I filled a postdoctoral research fellow position at the Vanderbilt University. During this period, I received excellent training in the understanding of genetics of complex diseases including cancer and pulmonary disease, and I applied my bioinformatics skills in analysis of large scale next-generation sequencing (NGS) data.

To date, I have worked in four different research areas. The first is data collection from public literature and databases to build bioinformatics tools for public use. The second is the integrative analysis of NGS data to decipher the genetic mechanism of complex disease. Thirdly, I applied network-based strategy on the interplay of tumor suppressor genes (TSGs) and oncogenes (OCGs) using the public cancer genomic/epigenetic data. Lastly, I translated my disease genomics expertise to huge marine genomic data to explore the common cell-cell communication mechanisms of metazoan.

Degui Zhi

Associate professor (with tenure) of Biostatistics, University of Alabama at Birmingham; Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, University of California, San Diego; M.Sc. in Computer Science, National University of Singapore. Current research interests include bioinformatics and statistical genetics problems relating to next-generation sequencing and the integration of multiple types of Omics scale data.

Zijing Zhou

Dr. Zijing Zhou is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine, Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.

Her primary research focus is on COPD, Asthma and allergic disorders, Lung cancer, Infectious, Rare and Idiopathic Pulmonary Diseases. She has more than 2 years basic research training in Dr Yong Zhou’s Lab (http://scholars.uab.edu/display/yzhou), Pulmonary, Allergy, & Critical Care Medicine, Department of Medicine, University of Alabama at Birmingham, USA.

Dr. Zhou's research projects focus on mechanotransduction in lung fibrosis and endothelial dysfunction in COPD.

Yaoqi Zhou

Professor Zhou graduated with a BS in Chemical Physics from University of Science and Technology of China in 1984 and a PhD in Chemical Physics from State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1990. He switched his research field to computational biology when he was a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard University with Professor Martin Karplus from 1995 to 2000. He was an Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor at Department of Physiology and Biophysics at State University of New York at Buffalo from 2000 to 2006 and became a full Professor when he joined Indiana University School of Informatics at Indianapolis in 2006. He was a director of Bioinformatics program at the School of Informatics since 2007. Starting June 2013, he joined School of Information and Communication Technology and Institute for Glycomics at Griffith University as a Professor of Computational Biology. Dr. Zhou has published more than 170 peer reviewed articles and is known for his widely used bioinformatics tools such as SPARKS for protein structure prediction and DFIRE for protein binding and folding scoring functions.

Xiaocheng Zhu

Research Offcier from Wagga Wagga Agricultural Institute, NSW Department of Primary Industries. I am working on the genetics of economically important species.
