FREE PUBLISHING in PeerJ Chemistry journals until October 31st!

Free Chemistry has now ended. Keep an eye out on the blog and our social media channels for future promotions!


We’re delighted to announce Free Publishing in PeerJ Chemistry journals until October 31st 2021. We want to give the chemistry community an opportunity to experience our industry-leading customer service and submission system, so we’re making all five Chemistry journals free for the next 3 months! Submit to any PeerJ Chemistry journal by the end of October 31st and, if your article is accepted after peer review, we will waive the $1,195 Article Processing Charge (APC). 

New submissions must be in scope for the relevant PeerJ chemistry journals and must be completed between by midnight PST 31st October 2021. This discount is only for the publication fee, other charges may still apply if applicable (e.g. for articles longer than 40 typeset pages). Submissions that are started but not fully submitted, and manuscripts submitted outside of this period, are not eligible.

We’re also excited that our first Special Issues calling for submissions to PeerJ Physical ChemistryPeerJ Inorganic Chemistry and PeerJ Analytical Chemistry and have just launched: “AI-driven chemistry for drug design“, “Supramolecular Recognition and Interactions in Inorganic and Bioinorganic Systems”  and “Analytical Methods in Plant Science. Submissions to the chemistry journals relevant to these Special Issues are eligible for free publication if the author submits their abstract for review by the Special Issue Editors by Abstract Submission Deadline. Authors of accepted abstracts will be given a APC waiver code, and their full submission must be made by the deadline stated in the relevant call for papers. The free publication code must be used for the article approved by the Special Issue editors and is not transferable.
