Anthony “Tony” Barnhart is an Associate Professor of Psychological Science at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He received his Ph.D. in Cognitive Science from Arizona State University in 2013, where he began his graduate career with the intention of being a language researcher. To this end, he has published research examining the processes underlying handwritten word perception, a domain that has been largely ignored by psychologists. However, Tony is also a part-time professional magician with over 30 years of performing experience. Magicians are informal cognitive scientists with their own hypotheses about the mind. Tony empirically tests these novel hypotheses and introduces magical methodologies into the laboratory to increase the ecological validity of experimental studies of attention and perception.
Maurizio Bertollo is Associate Professor of Motor Behaviour and Sport Psychology at “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara. He is affiliated with the Dept of Medicine and Aging Sciences, & currently serves as Vice-Director of the Behavioral Imaging and Neural Dynamics (BIND) Center.
Maurizio received his bachelor in Physical Education and Human Movement Science, followed by a master degree in Education (Pedagogy), a master degree in Psychology, and a doctoral degree in Sport Sciences. He also holds specializations in psychotherapy, developmental and learning disabilities, and sport psychology. Currently, he is a chartered psychologist and psychotherapist within the “Ordine Nazionale Psicologi” and member of the FEPSAC Managing council.
He has worked as a scientific consultant, psychologist, and/or coach for many Italian sports clubs, federations (e.g., Modern Pentathlon, Triathlon, Swimming, Rink Hockey, Soccer, Cycling, Track and Field, and Shooting) and for the National Olympic committee. Before moving to the University, he was also PE teacher, School Psychologist and Headmaster.
His research activity focuses on the processes and mechanisms underlying the development, maintenance and improvement of human motor behaviour and performance. Current research interests include Bio-psycho-physiological state underpinning performance, Individual Zones of Optimal Functioning, Stress recovery-balance in sport, Psychophysiological monitoring & intervention in sport.

Prof. Silvia Cimino, PhD in Clinical and Developmental Psychology, completed a post-doctorate at “Sapienza” and is currently an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychology, within the Department of Dynamic and Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Medicine and Psychology at the “Sapienza “University of Rome.
She is a Child Psychotherapist of the AIPPI (Italian Association of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy of Childhood, Adolescence and the Family) and has worked as a clinician and researcher at the “Bambino Gesù” Pediatric Hospital for over 10 years.
She is the author of over 60 national and international publications (including articles, volumes, chapters in books), mainly focused on psychopathology in the first three years of life (eating, sleep, depressive disorders), psychopathological risk in adolescence (with particular reference to the impact of traumatic experiences ). She has also explored the area of parenting and maternal depression.
Giovanni is a Cognitive Neuroscientist. He works as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Cognitive Neuroscience at Suor Orsola Benincasa University in Naples, Italy. Giovanni holds a PhD in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. His research areas include Cognitive Neuroscience, Experimental Psychology, and Neuropsychology.
Professor of Human Physiology, I'm a systems neuroscientist and neurologist by training. My current researches include the study of the cognitive aspects of motor control and the neural correlates of hierarchical learning in human and non-human primates. I'm also interested to multidimensional signal analysis and to the progress of neurotechnologies for developing innovative brain-computer interfaces.
PhD in genetics from Karolinska Institute, Sweden. Research according to an overarching theme of my research is the use of high-throughput omics to bridge the gap between research and medicine. My initial interest was in expression quantitative trait loci (eQTL), and their possibilities for translating genetics to medical use. This followed a further step into actual industrial drug and pharmacogenetics development from the technique, performed at Novo Nordisk, Denmark. Current interests focus on further translation of main genetics results into actual use both in the clinical context of response stratification and in the industrial context of drug development.

Andree Hartanto is an Associate Professor of Psychology from Singapore Management University. His research focuses on examining factors that contribute to interindividual variations and intraindividual changes in cognitive, emotional, and physical well-being. Andree’s work has been published in more than 100 peer-reviewed journal articles such as Cognition, Child Development, Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, Emotion, and Social Science & Medicine.
Guido Hesselmann is Professor of General and Biological Psychology at the Psychologische Hochschule Berlin (PHB), Germany. His primary research interests are experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience and visual perception.
Michael C. Hout is a Professor in the Department of Psychology, where he directs the Vision Sciences and Memory Laboratory and co-directs the Addison Care Virtual and Augmented Reality Lab. He is also the Associate Director of the NMSU Discovery Scholars Program, and an Associate Editor at the journal Attention, Perception, & Psychophysics. He recently finished a two-year position as Program Director at the National Science Foundation, co-directing the Perception, Action, and Cognition, and Cognitive Neuroscience programs. He has won several awards for research and teaching, including the Rising Star award from the Association for Psychological Science, as well as the Early Career Award for Exceptional Achievements in Creative Scholarly Activity and the Donald C. Roush Award for Teaching Excellence from NMSU.
