Dr. Armando Sunny is a Researcher and Professor within the Applied Biological Sciences Research Center, Science Faculty at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM).
He is interested to know how certain features of the landscape affect the genetic diversity and structure of species in anthropized environments, for this he performs analysis of landscape genetics, population genetics, niche modeling, SIG, landscape connectivity and global change analysis, especially in amphibians and reptiles.
Dr Hiroyuki Tobita is Chief of Ecophysiology Laboratory within the Department of Plant Ecology, Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute (FFPRI), Japan.
His primary research interests include, Plant Physiological Ecology, Forest Ecology, and Nitrogen Fixation with Frankia.
I research the carbon dynamics of peatlands. Specifically this addresses the impact of climate change on the functioning of the ecosystem, greenhouse gas emissions and vegetation.
MA and PhD in forestry at University of Turin. Assistant professor in forest management and planning at University of Milan
Xugao Wang is a professor of forest ecology at Institute of Applied Ecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shenyang, China. He received a B.S. from Qufu Normal University in 2001, and completed his Ph.D. in ecology from the Institute of Applied Ecology, CAS in 2006.
Currently, he is interested in causes and consequences of biodiversity in natural forests. The causes of interest include ecological processes, such as species interaction, environmental filtering and dispersal limitation maintaining and influencing biodiversity in natural forests. Recently, he is especially interested in the role of soil microbes and environmental variables in determining spatio-temporal patterns of plant diversity. The consequences interested him most are the effects of multi-trophic biodiversity on forest ecosystem functioning and stability.

Author / co-author of more than 170 international and national publications.Technical manager of more than 40 national and international projects. Evaluator of CONHACYT, Mexico and other institutions. Member of the Latin American Forest Genetic Resources Network (LAFORGEN).
Associate Professor in the Department of Earth System Science, Tsinghua University.
Research interests include global land-use and land-cover change mapping, modeling and application; global cropland mapping and uncertainty analysis.
