Dr. Miranda is Research Professor at the Department of Medicine, School of Medicine and Director of CRONICAS Center of Excellence in Chronic Diseases, both at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia (UPCH) in Lima, Peru. Miranda is an elected Fellow of Faculty of Public Health of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom. Dr. Miranda trained in medicine at UPCH and earned a PhD in epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
