Summary

I am a student at Veterans Memorial High School. In 2017-18 I did a biomedical engineering project about a "smart" knee replacement that can be adjusted remotely and noninvasively using a smartphone application. This project got accepted to go to the International Science Fair in Pittsburgh. In 2018-19 I did a robotics project about improving performance in robotic surgery by implementing a Nintendo control system. My project also got accepted to go to the International Science Fair in Phoenix. I decided to submit a preprint of my Nintendo project to PeerJ to help me in the science fair and to learn about the process of publishing scientific research.
