Summary
My research interests reside in the development and application of novel machine learning algorithms to health data and ensuring their utility and impact. I am particularly interested in cancer, asthma and sickle cell disease. My research involves the use of a multitude of the latest omics data available (genomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics) and clinical data collected by hospitals/clinical trials.
I obtained my PhD in computational optimisation (Operations Research) in 2014 in Greece, co-advised by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Prof. John N. Tsitsiklis). Following, I have been an MRC Early Career Research Fellow with the School of Public Health at Imperial (2021-2022), and a post-doctoral research associate also at University College London (2016-2018) and University of Oxford (2018-2021).
