Summary
I did my MPhil & PhD in Food & Nutrition from the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Lahore, Pakistan. During my MPhil, I worked as a research associate in an HEC-funded project titled 'Effect of different antibiotics and steroidal residues in chicken meat and their impact on human health in Punjab. As part of my doctoral research, I conducted my research work at the University of Reading, UK, and also obtained a food safety level 4 certification with distinction from Highfield UK. Prior to that, I earned a BS (Hons) in Food Science and Nutrition from the Institute of Home and Food Science at Government College University Faisalabad. Alongside my research pursuits, I have six years of teaching experience in food sciences, nutrition, and dietetics at Government College University Faisalabad affiliated campuses. My PhD research focused on exploring the health benefits of plant-based foods as nutraceuticals, functional compounds, polyphenols, and antioxidants, as well as their associated health advantages. Additionally, I conducted research on extending the shelf life of strawberries using modified atmosphere packaging technology. I have actively participated in numerous national and international conferences and training sessions. Furthermore, I have authored seven research and review articles in well reputed, peer-reviewed journals
