Number of alleles per locus at each of the sites sampled for testing the distribution of clones among hosts

The first column lists the loci genotyped. The other four columns contain summary data for each site, given as number of distinct alleles (total number of alleles). For example, a locus with two infections, one with a single allele 147 and one with two alleles 147 and 153 would have two distinct alleles and three total alleles and be reported as 2 (3).

Values are mu (m), theta (t), zero probability (z). The values of mu and theta for the ZINB are essentially the same as for the ZI Poisson, so only the theta estimate is reported for that model to save space in the table.

Results for Vuong Test Comparing each zero inflated model to the traditional model

Vuong statistics and P values are reported raw as well as AIC or BIC corrected (see rows). Small P values indicate that the zero-inflated model is preferred. Large P values indicate that the models are indistinguishable.

Summary of observed MC vs simulated MC for each site

Columns represent the minimum number of parasite clones (MC) per lizard host calculated as the maximum number of alleles at any of four microsatellite loci. For each site, I report: av.- the average number of simulated hosts containing a given number of clones over 1000 simulated samples of n… hosts; min. and max.- the minimum and maximum number of simulated hosts containing a given number of clones from any of the 1000 simulated samples; and obs.- the observed number of lizards containing a given number of clones. Observed values that fall outside the minimum and maximum simulated values are in bold.
