Summary

I am interested in the physical interactions of organisms with their fluid environments. To do this, I primarily use experimental and computational and physical modeling techniques to explore the interaction of fluids and flexible structures at small sizes and low velocity flows. I am also interested in how evolution shapes these interactions.
