From 1988 to 2004 Ministry of Health, Technician "B" in charge of the Area of Cellular Cultures at the National Laboratory of Public Health, 2005/-. Full-time Associated Academic Technician "A" to the Bacterial Pathogenicity Laboratory of the Department of Public Health, at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where I am collaborating in various projects related to molecular markers of antimicrobial resistance, mainly in Staphylococcus aureus and S. epidermidis methicillin resistant strains, isolated from patients with nosocomial infections. Within these projects I have participated in the standardization and implementation of various molecular biology protocols, for the identification of the mecA gene, typing of SCCmec cassettes and the identification of genes involved in the biofilm formation in clinical strains of staphylococci. Skills in the assembly and annotation of Staphylococcal-genomes. Co-authorship in two articles related to this research topic, published in 2013 and 2016.
