Abstract
Author Comment
Changes in terminology has led to another complete re-write, including a new Title and new labelled Sections throughout. The Contents page is enlarged with better numbering of the Sections. Some Figures were re-done, and some eliminated. A new Conclusion Section was added, as was a Supplement giving the MetaLink-Protocol that was submitted to the Internet Engineering Task Force, thus providing a source of Detail that would otherwise not be available at this time. NOTE: Pro or Con Comments are very welcome. The numbers at the end of paragraphs provide a means to identify parts relevant to comments.
Supplemental Information
MetaLink-Protocol: a detailed description
This Dataset provides the complete submission of an Informational Internet-Draft "Request For Comment" to the Internet Engineering Task Force. In accordance with their rules, it was posted on the Web and then removed after a fixed interval. This description fits the MetaLink-Protocol of the PrePrint, with a few terminology changes that are listed on the first page preceding the document.
