Summary

Lucas N. Alegre is currently a Ph.D. student at the Institute of Informatics of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). He received a B.S. degree (cum laude) on computer science at UFRGS in 2020.
Since 2017, he is a member of the Multiagent Systems Laboratory at UFRGS. There, he worked with reinforcement learning applied to non-stationary traffic signal control scenarios.
In 2020, he worked 2 months as an intern at the Traffic System Planning and Traffic Telematics group of the Technische Universität Berlin, where he developed reinforcement learning agents for traffic signal control in the MATSIM transport simulator. He is currently working with model-based deep reinforcement learning algorithms for non-stationary environments.
His current interests include reinforcement learning, machine learning and their applications to real-world problems.
