Summary

Dr. R. Z. Sayyed is the Head of the Department of Microbiology at PSGVP Mandal's ASC College, SHAHADA, India. He has over 25 years of teaching and 20 years of research experience in Microbiology and Biotechnology. He works on Plant-Microbe interactions; Microbial polymers and Biosurfactants for sustenance in agriculture, the Environment, and the Ecosystem. To his credit, he has received the Prof. M. M. Sharma Award from Akhil Bhartiya Marathi Vigyan Parishad, Mumbai (2018); “Best Teachers Award” (2016) from the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon, India; “Green Globe Award” from the ISBR, Bareilly, India; and “Young Scientist Award” for the years of 2005, 2008, and 2012 from the DST and DAE, GOI, India.. He trained several graduate, post-graduate, and research students under his guidance. Prof. Sayyed has authored and co-authored over 228 research papers in reputed national and international journals and 25 reference books; 52 textbooks and 43 book chapters published by reputed National and International publishers. He has successfully demonstrated the transfer of laboratory research to farmer’s fields in PGPR-related technologies. He is Associate Editor of Frontiers in Nutrition, Frontiers in Microbiology; PLOS One; PeerJ; Environmental Sustainability (Springer); and Guest Editor of Sustainability (MDPI).
