Dr Sukamal Sarkar is presently working as the Assistant Professor (Agronomy) at School of Agriculture and Rural Development, IRDM Faculty Centre, RKMVERI, Narendrapur. He is also working on development of APSIM-SWIM cropping system model to assess the impact of seasonal salinity and moisture dynamics in Coastal Saline Ecology. Dr Sarkar has a keen research interest in nutrient management, salinity ecosystem, APSIM-modelling and nutrients dynamics of Agronomic Crops.
