Introduction

Materials and Methods

  1. Plaque scores–the presence or absence of visible plaque on any surface of the tooth.

  2. Calculus scores–the presence or absence of visible calculus deposits on each tooth.

  3. Probing depth–measured from the free gingival margin to the base of the sulcus (in mm).

  4. Bleeding on probing–the presence or absence of bleeding following probing around the tooth.

These periodontal measurements were performed for the Ramfjord index teeth (teeth number: 16, 21, 24, 36, 41, 44) which are representative of the various teeth type (Kingman, Susin & Albandar, 2008).
