Summary

Ed Chadwick is Reader in Bioengineering at the University of Aberdeen. He joined the School of Engineering there in 2019, and leads the MSc in Biomedical Engineering. Prior to this, he was a Lecturer then Senior Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at Keele University (2012-2019). His research interests are in the application of biomechanical modelling and simulation techniques to the study of upper limb function in a range of neuromuscular disorders including spinal cord injury and stroke. He has a particular interest in the use of functional electrical stimulation (FES) for the restoration of function and in the development of FES devices.
