Summary

My research focuses on plant-microbe interactions. One of my most interesting projects is to characterize mechanisms of nonhost disease resistance in plants. Unlikely host resistance, nonhost disease resistance is the most common plant defense mechanism which protects plants from various potential pathogens. Recently, we have identified several important genes involved in nonhost disease resistance and are on the way to dissect their functional roles.
