Summary
Rachael is a Veterinary Surgeon by training and has spent time in mixed, small animal and emergency practice in the UK and Australia. She completed a PhD on koala retroviruses at the University of Queensland and then spent time working for the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and the University of Gottingen. She holds a lectureship at the vet school at the University of Nottingham and runs an active research programme on endogenous retroviruses and emerging viruses
