Summary

I am researcher 'Ramón y Cajal' at the Instituto de Ciencias de la Vid y del Vino (ICVV) in La Rioja, Spain. My research activity focuses on the biology, ecology and control of fungal pathogens of Mediterranean crops with emphasis on grapevine trunk diseases, and the taxonomy of the genus Phaeoacremonium especially with regard to morphological and molecular characterization. In addition, I am actively involved on the development of principles and methods to improve the phytosanitary quality of grapevine planting material during the propagation process in nurseries.
