Summary

I study plastic and evolutionary responses of aquatic organisms to abiotic and biotic environments. Using transcriptomics (typically in a network perspective), I investigate molecular responses to infections, life history transitions, or environmental challenges (e.g. temperature, xenobiotics). Using genomics, I investigate genome evolution and function after whole genome duplication (e.g. sex determination), as well as population genetic parameters influencing organism survival and production.
