Summary
Professor & PI - I have dedicated my career to understanding adaptive diversification, using genetic tools. I hold a B.Sc in Zoology from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka and a Ph.D. in Biology from Boston University (USA). Following this, I was a Ziff Environmental Postdoctoral Fellowship at Harvard University. Next, I served as a Professor at the University of Peradeniya and am presently at Guangxi University in China. My work explores a range of subjects, from amphibians, freshwater fish, and cavefish, to microbiomes and diseases. In addition, I serve as the Co-Chair for the Amphibian Specialist Group in Sri Lanka (ASG/IUCN/SSC), contributing to amphibian conservation.
