Summary
I am a Scientist II at Massachusetts Biological Laboratory (MassBiologics of UMMS). I have earned his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences degree in 2018 from the University of Massachusetts Medical School and then worked as a Senior Scientist in a Cambridge based biotechnology company. I have a broad research background and 8+ years of experience in Oncology, Molecular biology, Gene editing, CRISPR, Biochemistry, and Immunology. My current research focuses on understanding the cellular, biochemical, and molecular basis of cancer and certain rare genetic disorders and how genetic and epigenetic programming contribute to the progression of these diseases. I have undertaken a variety of functional genomics approaches such as RNA interference (RNAi) and CRISPR-based screens, proteomics, and biochemistry-based methods to identify new genes, proteins, and regulatory pathways that are the cause of or contribute to the disease state. Another area of my research is to design novel antibodies that can be in vaccination against SARS, Zika, coronavirus, and developing non-human primate models for these diseases. I am also serving on the editorial boards in several peer-reviewed journals.
