The Research Progress on the Role of G6PD in Immune Regulation
Abstract
This review systematically describes the key role of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) in immune regulation. Firstly, it introduces the structure, function and regulation mechanism of G6PD, and then discusses in depth the important role of G6PD in metabolism and function regulation of immune cells such as T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and macrophages. The relationship between G6PD abnormality and immune-related diseases such as autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases and tumor immunity is analyzed, and the research progress of immunotherapy based on G6PD targets is expounded, aiming at providing theoretical basis for understanding immune regulation mechanism and prevention and treatment of related diseases.
