Summary

Daniel Kaplan is the DeWitt Wallace Professor of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science at Macalester College. He's the author of several textbooks in statistics, computing, and mathematics, including "Statistical Modeling: A Fresh Approach", "Data Computing", and "Modern Data Science with R". (See project-mosaic-books.com for more details.) He's the lead developer in the MAA's NSF-sponsored StatPREP project, which aim to help undergraduate statistics education become more strongly oriented to data and modern computing. He won the 2017 CAUSE/USCOTS Lifetime Achievement Award in Statistics Education.
