Summary

I am an associate professor in Department of Statistics, Feng-Chia University, Taichung, Taiwan. My research lies in the areas of statistical phylogenetics and applied stochastic process. Currently I mainly use phylogenetic tree/network to describe trait evolution where I use stochastic processes to create statistical methods for answering questions from evolutionary biology and ecology. Recently, I start to study the matrix properties of the variance-covariance matrix for models of adaptive trait evolution and investigate impacts on the parameter estimation in phylogenetic comparative analysis. I am also interested in exploring numerical solution to the stochastic differential equation used for phylogenetic trait evolution on trees.
