Laboratory Plankton Ecology
Andrey Sazhin is a expert in plankton ecology and systematic of marine phytoplankton (including autotrophic and heterotrophic flagellates), ciliates. Research in his group focuses on the role of bacteria, algae, ciliates in marine environments. A large emphasis is placed on the development and evaluation of sea ice and sub-ice community and plankton community of high latitudes.
