Summary

I graduated in Medicine at Federal University of Ceará in February 1996. During the internship, in 1995, I spent two months in the Neurological Institute, Brain Tumor Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital at Columbia University Medical Center, under the tutelage of Dr Bennett M. Stein. Also, I rotated in the Interventional Radiology Center at Columbia University Medical Center, under the guidance of Dr Lotfi Hacein-Bey. I then took a special training at the Lake City V.A. Medical Center of the University of Florida College of Medicine, where I completed a training in Neurologic Pathophysiology and Neuranatomy with Dr. Joseph J. Warner. I received the certification in Pediatrics in January 2001, after completing the residency training program at Albert Sabin Children's Hospital, Public Health School of Ceará, Secretary of Health of the State of Ceará. In November 2003, I received the certification in Pediatric Hematology-oncology after completing the residency training program at Albert Sabin Children's Hospital, Public Health School of Ceará. In April 2006, I received a Master's degree in Pharmacology, by Federal University of Ceará. On May 8, 2008, I was appointed to the position of Pediatric oncologist at Albert Sabin Children's Hospital. From there, I became responsible for the clinical management of patients with Brain Tumors and Vascular Anomalies, my two major professional interests since.
