This peer-reviewed study aims to identify novel aspects of brain functional connectivity in patients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI). Individuals were investigated using resting state fMRI and it was shown that MCI patients exhibited increased intrinsic connectivity in the Default Mode Network and in the Somatomotor Network as compared to healthy individuals.
